We got a full rack of ribs from our local butcher for $10. We split it in half for two meals. Lots of meat that falls right off the bone. This doesn’t happen often for us. What a treat. Last of peppers and tomatoes from the garden.

MARRIED MOTHER INDICTED ON FOUR FELONY S*X CRIMES INVOLVING CHILD UNDER 12, INCLUDING INC*ST

I shared this case last night but have some received some additional photos and information, so I am reposting it. I confirmed the alleged victim is a male. I’ve also been told that she has a history of drinking problems and that she has had previous allegations regarding child ab*se and neglect.
And yes, her current husband is a cop.
BARDSTOWN, Ky. — A 31-year-old Kentucky woman has been indicted on four felony charges involving the alleged s*xual abuse of a child younger than 12, including first-degree s0domy, inc*st and two counts of first-degree s*xual abuse.
Lauren Winans, of Bardstown, was indicted by a Nelson County grand jury on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.
According to the indictment, the alleged offenses occurred in Nelson County between January 1, 2022, and November 20, 2022.
Prosecutors allege that Winans engaged in illegal s*xual contact and s*xual acts involving a child younger than 12.
One of the most disturbing allegations involves the inc*st charge, which accuses Winans of engaging in intercourse or deviate s*xual intercourse with a relative younger than 12.
The grand jury returned an indictment on four felony counts:
• First-degree s0domy involving a child younger than 12 — Class A felony.
• Inc*st involving a child younger than 12 — Class A felony.
• First-degree s*xual abuse involving a child younger than 12 — Class C felony.
• First-degree s*xual abuse involving a child younger than 12 — Class C felony.
The investigation was conducted by Detective Travis Dalton of Kentucky State Police Post 4. Special Prosecutor Shelly Miller presented the case to the grand jury.
Winans was initially booked into the Nelson County Detention Center before being transferred to the LaRue County Detention Center.
Her bond was set at $250,000 cash, with several strict conditions imposed should she be released. Those conditions include a dusk-to-dawn curfew, no direct or indirect contact with the alleged victim, and a prohibition on alcohol and drug use.
Winans is scheduled to appear in Nelson Circuit Court for arraignment on November 5, 2026, at 9 a.m.
The indictment is a formal accusation, not a finding of guilt. Winans is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

My grandpa would crack open the walnut shells. He and I would pick out the tasty nut pieces. The hardest part was having to wait the 24-48 hours until she would bake them. Chocolate was so rich. Walnuts tasty. Dough tasted like caramel. Great one if a kind recipe

Here’s the dough with chopped black walnut and chocolate chips included. My grandma got her chips from the local candy store. Said nestle was mostly fat and not cocoa. I use Guittard chips. She got her walnuts from under her walnut tree
Here’s the dough after cooking the butter and making a tangzhong to add. Doesn’t look like typical nestle toll house dough does it? The cookies will have a toffee flavor.
Starting a batch of chocolate chip cookies. I don’t use the re pie on the package. I use grandma’s which involves melting the butter over high heat until it creates dark golden bits. Then I make thetangzhong. It gives the cookies a toffee flavor.
