There’s a story about a trader named Bill Lipschutz that I think every trader should know.
While studying at Cornell University, Bill inherited approximately $12,000 worth of stocks from his grandmother.
He became interested in trading and decided to put that money to work.
Over the next four years, he grew that $12,000 into approximately $250,000.
That’s over 20 TIMES his starting capital.
But something happened.
Bill became extremely bearish on the stock market and started taking heavily leveraged positions.
He was convinced the market would continue falling.
Unfortunately, the market moved against him.
And within just a few days, he lost virtually the entire account.
FOUR YEARS of growth wiped out in DAYS.
Now, here’s the interesting part.
That wasn’t the end of Bill Lipschutz.
He went on to become one of the most successful currency traders at Salomon Brothers, generating enormous trading profits for the firm.
But there’s something important I want you to take away from his experience.
You can spend years developing a profitable trading system.
You can understand market structure.
You can have an incredible win rate.
But none of that makes you immune to poor risk management.
One badly managed position can undo years of progress.
And sometimes, the difference between a trader who survives and one who doesn’t is simply knowing how much to risk.
Always have a fixed risk.
Never risk beyond your appetite.
Never assume something can’t happen in the markets.
Anything is possible in these markets, including the things you believe are impossible.
Protect your capital at all times.
You need it to trade tomorrow.💜

…you will study till you are convinced that why you are studying works based on the data your study gave to you
Your conviction must be able to decide on what it stays with to the very end no matter the ups and down ..your conviction must make decisions of the kind of trade you will take
And you learn to trust your decision..don’t make any other decision after executing the trade except there is a technical reason…
Decision like breakeven,close the trade or add more positions
Series of trust you have placed on your decisions and executions is what gives you the right experience and it is from your experience that your re evaluate if you should continue on that path of refining it or change it entirely
This experience is what lead to mastery
In reality most profitable traders are masters of the game because they are executing their experience
You can be in this game for years and the only experience you have is the experience of unprofitability

If you’ve struggled with technical analysis for a while, I want you to understand something.
Technical analysis is arguably the easiest of the 3 major pillars of trading.
1. Technical Edge (TA)
2. Psychology
3. Risk/Money Management
And I’ll tell you why.
When it comes to technical analysis, the market repeats certain behaviours over and over again.
One of the most important things you need to understand is how price moves between Internal Range Liquidity (IRL) and External Range Liquidity (ERL).
IRL → POIs & Inducements.
ERL → Old Highs/Lows, DOLs & Structural Targets.
Price constantly seeks liquidity.‼️
The CISD (Change in State of Delivery) is what I look for after a liquidity grab to confirm a potential shift in delivery towards external range liquidity.
IRL → Liquidity Grab → CISD → ERL.
This is what I consider the true DNA of price delivery.
Once you understand how IRL, CISD, and ERL work together, technical analysis becomes a lot easier to interpret.
The goal isn’t to memorise a thousand patterns. It’s to understand the few things the market does repeatedly.
And this is one of them.

yesterday, KT @Kelvintalent_, announced that he had bought a 2025 tesla cyberbeast, making it his 5th car in 6 years of trading.
one thing KT will always emphasize is patience.
KT once shared with us how he used a lexus for 2 years, which he bought for ₦5 million. at the time, some top traders were already buying bigger cars, but he remained patient and wasn't pressured by his peers. all he was focused on was his growth.
in april 2024, KT shared on X how one of his thai trader friends bought a lamborghini. when he woke up the next day and looked at his lexus, he realised he wasn't close to where he wanted to be. so, he went on to study the charts for 5 straight hours.
that's what consistency can do for a man.
now, 2 years later, KT has become the first nigerian to own a cyberbeast.
there's a popular saying that the secrets of rich men are in their stories. we just saw what KT did when his friend bought a lamborghini. rather than allow that to pressure him, he went back to studying so he could become better.
that's my message: STUDY.
there was a time KT was making 3 figures from trades and celebrating those wins. today, he makes higher 5 figures and even 6 figures from some positions. that's what growth looks like.
my little advice to everyone is simple: study and focus on growth.
avoid putting unnecessary pressure on yourself. KT will always tell us at NIKHIL that when we trade under pressure or because of an urgent financial need, we're more likely to make unnecessary trading decisions. at the end of the day, we could end up blowing our personal accounts or prop firm accounts.
