Vancouver scored 2 goals btw. Shabanov once again on the ice for all of them. Not sure if Roy was wrong about the 5 on 5 play if Hynes is having the same issue.

Its obviously not simple. My largest concern remains why we felt the need to send out the sort of pieces that could draft that sort of player for a guy who has been producing decently his top 6 minutes but generally loses them, if we wanted another Duclair we could've signed one.

You'd think that consistently losing to teams that accumulate talented players would convince the #isles to try doing that, but here we are again, trying to find "the system" that will make the garbage on the team somehow luck into the playoffs again.

And this is a compliment to Schenn, I think he's probably worth 3-4mil as is and has been picking his spots and producing - no doubt about it. I can't sit here and say "that guy doesn't produce" - he has. But he gets killed while doing so. This loses them games. Frustrating add.

Love this dude #Isles He had a couple games where he didn't get a point but kept working. I'm not even sticking my tongue out at fans who didn't like him or think he was worth keeping. Its at the people that said he can't play in the NHL, you're just plain wrong man.

The fact the Isles have been in almost every game this year without it is special. I've seen a lot of bad Islanders teams in my life and they'd rarely play 10 straight games of going toe to toe for large segments. Hopefully Barzal gets back after the road trip.
