Booking a holiday should be exciting, not risky.
Europeans deserve to book with confidence, knowing platforms are taking their safety seriously. We’ll make sure they live up to their responsibilities.

Europe’s steadfast support to Ukraine matters more than ever.
To help protect its skies, save lives, defend its land.
With today’s disbursement, we keep addressing Ukraine’s most urgent operational needs.
Including drones and missiles.

Today, Ukraine and Moldova take another step towards our Union.
Negotiation clusters are now opened on internal market as well as competitiveness and inclusive growth.
Ukraine’s and Moldova’s future is in our Union.
And we will support them all along the way.

Democracy is never to be taken for granted. It should be protected, nurtured. Every day - and everywhere.
Our European Centre for Democratic Resilience brings together EU Member States.
So they can strengthen their democracies.
The resilience of their societies.
And so they counter foreign interference.
As of today, candidate countries can also join this work.
We can learn from one another. We can become stronger together.

Today we take a meaningful step towards a more complete Union.
I welcome the decision to close three additional negotiating chapters with Montenegro and one more with Albania.
This is thanks to the hard work of both countries.
And the remarkable European spirit of their people.

I warmly welcome @EUCouncil decision to adopt our proposal.
A new chapter starts today.
For Hungary and for Europe.
Hungary has taken important steps to strengthen the rule of law and protect the Union’s financial interests.
And reforms deliver results.
Today, we are proposing to unlock €4.2 billion and reopen the doors of Erasmus+ and Horizon Europe to Hungarian students and researchers.
I am very glad that they will once again fully benefit from the opportunities our Union creates.

Good call with @ZelenskyyUa today.
Fully supported the call of President Zelenskyy for a ceasefire that would protect global food supplies and energy infrastructure in Ukraine and Russia
The war has entered a new, grimmer phase.
Russia is stalling on the battlefield and striking civilians far behind the front lines.
I conveyed our solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
And my full support for President Zelenskyy as he leads the fight for his people’s freedom.
Ukraine will be front and centre at this week’s European Council.
We will discuss its funding needs for the year ahead and how to mobilise fresh global support.
This week, the EU will also provide further funding for drones and missiles.
To strengthen Ukraine’s defences and protect its skies.
We are also due to open two further clusters of chapters in the negotiations.
The momentum is real.

A good meeting with President @AH_AlSharaa in the margins of #UNGA.
The EU remains a reliable partner for a peaceful, stable and inclusive transition in Syria, free from harmful foreign interference.
We are actively working for Syria’s reconstruction, recovery and the safe and voluntary returns of refugees.
As next steps, we aim to mobilise more investment and upgrade our partnership.

Very good meeting with Prime Minister @CMShehbaz at #UNGA.
The EU values its partnership with Pakistan.
Our Strategic Engagement Plan reflects both the breadth of this partnership and the shared commitment to democracy, the rule of law, human rights and civic space.
We work together on stability and security. We thanked the Prime Minister for his initiative to mediate in the conflict between the US and Iran.
Pakistan is playing an important role in support of de-escalation, dialogue and peaceful resolution of conflicts.
We discussed how to take our partnership forward, from trade to addressing illegal migration.

Dear @NikolPashinyan, it is good to see you as always.
We are bringing Armenia closer to the EU, while working on a peaceful and prosperous South Caucasus.
We are building roads and bridges with our €200 million connectivity package.
And bridges between people, with our peace-fostering investments.
Our Autonomous Trade Measures will open new opportunities.
With 80% of Armenia’s exports to the EU market now tariff free.
We expect the final adoption of these measures by EU legislators tomorrow - in record time!
And finally we are strengthening energy security.
So: the 🇪🇺🇦🇲 partnership is moving fast, forward and stronger than ever.

The ocean doesn’t stop at borders. Neither should ocean observation. Sharing science and knowledge globally helps us better understand our ocean. Under the EU and Canada leadership, the OceanEye International Alliance for the Global Ocean Observing System join forces.

Dear @joseantoniokast, thank you for Chile’s contribution to our OceanEye Alliance this morning.
The 🇪🇺🇨🇱 partnership is growing stronger and stronger.
Trade has surged by 160% over the past two decades.
Now our modernised agreement and Global Gateway can open the next chapter.
For more cooperation on clean energy.
Critical raw materials.
Which means more opportunities for our people and businesses.
Let’s seize them all!

And it impacts our planet, our economies, and our communities.
Today, @MarkJCarney and I are rallying the world in support of ocean observation.

Dear Volodymyr @ZelenskyyUa, Europe is working harder than ever to strengthen Ukraine’s defence.
Our new 🇪🇺🇺🇦 anti-ballistic programme can help rapidly scale up production.
More defence support is coming.
And as reforms in the Rada progress, more budget support too.
We have €37 billion still available in this calendar year.
In New York, my message to every leader is clear:
we must all step up support for Ukraine’s defence.

Europe and Australia see the world in the same way.
And this joint vision translates into concrete actions.
Our Security & Defence partnership is fully at work.
Our Free Trade Agreement: about to be signed next year.
As of January, Australian researchers will be able to take part in Horizon Europe.
And we are both taking strong action to protect young people online.
This shows the strength of the 🇪🇺🇦🇺 partnership.

Africa’s global leadership is growing.
And Europe stands firmly behind it.
We championed the @_AfricanUnion’s permanent membership of the G20 and support a stronger African voice on the global stage.
The EU is Africa’s leading trade and investment partner.
Through Global Gateway, we are mobilising €150 billion for projects that create local value, local jobs and opportunities for Africa’s greatest strength: its young people.
Together with the AU and the UN, we are also advancing African-led solutions for peace and security, sustainable development and food security.
Now we are ready to take this partnership further.

Today, I am very happy to be back in Nuuk.
We are family.
I’m also back to make our unique partnership even stronger.

Greenland’s stunning landscapes and natural beauty will stay with me for a long time.
But so will the visible scars of climate change on the ice sheet.
As the ice melts, a new reality is taking shape.
New trade routes, new security risks, new environmental concerns.
Europe stands with Greenland.
We will navigate these changes together.
