NEW: An order of New York nuns founded in 1817 has rebuked the bishops who laid hands on President Trump 12 days before the midterms. “Images carry messages,” the Sisters of Charity wrote. “Silence carries messages, too.” The nuns have a powerful ally in Pope Leo XIV, who has put women at the center of his leadership. They now run three Vatican dicasteries, a larger share than in Trump’s cabinet. thelettersfromleo.com/p/new-…

As a licensed AGENT in New York State, (nyc area specifically), this happens ALL the time. They just don’t get caught. So many racist “realtors” and brokers who come up with excuses to not do showings, or pick other applicants who aren’t ethnic. Happens alot still!! ✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿

“But…but…why does it always have to be about race?” “Why make everything about race?” Because the sickness of racism in this country is still a very real and invasive thing! Imagine this family is just trying to hire a professional to look for a home and has to endure this!

603,000 eligible Black voters in Ohio didn’t cast a ballot in the 2022 midterms. So why are so many Black voters sitting out elections? @EugeneDaniels2 spoke with young Black men who have stopped voting or never started to understand what’s behind the disengagement.

So there was a meeting today between the U.S. and mostly English- speaking Caribbean countries. I learned about it because I keep tabs on @CARICOMorg not because @StateDept offered to school us on this before their opening remarks today. I’m still lost especially after getting a declaration in Spanish - forwarded to me by a colleague.
