💡WEEK 4 | SPOTLIGHT REPORT Cason Cunningham @CasonC2027 Walker Valley High School @WalkerValleyHS RB 5'8 160 Lbs. C/O 2027 Versatile runner with good vision, contact balance, and the ability to create both inside and on the perimeter. He accelerates once the lane declares and can cut cleanly off either foot, allowing him to redirect without disrupting his forward momentum. His speed also gives him the ability to bend the edge and threaten defensive leverage outside. At :14, his contact balance through the line of scrimmage stands out, along with the awareness to identify safeties and other third-level defenders once he clears initial traffic. He also brings natural receiving ability out of the backfield with an immediate transition from catch to runner and the shiftiness to create in space. At :56, he shows good feel behind pulling linemen, understanding when to stay patient, when to plant and get vertical, and how to use his speed to manipulate pursuit angles and create chunk plays. The combination of vision, controlled movement, and acceleration gives him multiple ways to find and exploit space.
