Do you think an aunt should be able to marry her nephew, or an uncle his niece?
Of course not.
Do you think someone should be able to have multiple wives?
Of course not. These marriages are illegal in the UK, and have been for hundreds of years.
But a loophole in our benefits system recognises polygamous marriages if they take place abroad. A man with four wives can receive more than £75,000 a year in benefits.
With the support of @KemiBadenoch and @Helen_Whately, I want to close this loophole through my Bill.
Polygamy and incest are illegal in the UK. British taxpayers should not have to foot the bill for these perverted unions.
As I explained to the unfailingly courteous @Jacob_Rees_Mogg the @Conservatives will end this for good.

If I could sit beside that little boy one last time I wouldn’t promise him an easy life. I’d tell him that he’ll lose people face battles and have days when he feels like giving up. But I’d also tell him this… One day you’ll become everything you once wished for. So keep going little man. I’ve got us from here. #innerchild

Hi @timothy_stanley,
Why do you think it’s acceptable to put on a Northern accent and deliberately make it sound unintelligent? You wouldn’t mock a Jamaican, Chinese or Nigerian accent in the same way — so why is it okay to portray Northerners as thick?
It’s quite obnoxious.
Can we stop pretending people don’t know this?
And instead start giving them lengthy fucking jail sentences or deport these animals.
Asylum seekers have been told that rape and domestic abuse are serious crimes as part of government advice on “rules and expectations” for living in the UK.

A stream of stories now coming out of the US saying that AI ‘singularity’ — or recursive self-improvement, I think — is much closer than most folks thought. It means current AI models able to develop the next model without human participation, then the next and the next, ad finitum. Each one more powerful than the previous. Likely to lead to amazing sci/tech breakthroughs. But also huge risks over human loss of control. Exciting and scary.
🚨Unconscious bias works both ways. A woman goes for a walk and sees a group of working-class white kids.
These kids did absolutely nothing. Nobody approaches her. Nobody says a word.
She goes home, records a video of her “terrifying encounter,” and needs a shower after seeing white people.
Pretending it only flows one way was always the real bias.

Personally, I think stuff like this should be preserved in a Museum of Female Treachery so that schoolgirls of the future can watch in horror, then offer up a silent prayer of thanks for their rebellious, thoroughly TERFy great-grandmothers.
Hey @elonmusk a while ago when we clicked the grok icon on a post grok would give us the option to ask questions and not just randomly start spewing out info we already know about the post - why did this feature change?
