Yesterday, we had had an engaging hands on session. with the devs. Our lead trainer, @dzeg5 , guided the fellows, through the fundamentals of Git and GitHub, laying the foundation for open-source collaboration. We explored: ✅ Git/GitHub Basics – Understanding version control and why it’s crucial for developers. ✅ Open-Source Workflow & Best Practices – How to contribute effectively to Bitcoin projects. ✅ Hands-on Activities – Students successfully forked repositories, cloned projects, and created their first pull requests! This group is proving to be curious, engaged, and eager to learn, which is exactly what we need to build Africa’s next wave of Bitcoin developers! In addition to Git, we dove into Chapters 1 & 2 of "Mastering Bitcoin" by Andreas Antonopoulos, setting the stage for deeper technical understanding. Its inspiring to see such enthusiasm from this Cohort, and we cant wait to see their progress in the coming weeks! 🚀 Cohort 2 Kicks Off! 🚀 Last night marked the official start of Dada Devs Cohort 2! After receiving 100+ applications, we’re excited to welcome 62 incredible students from Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, and Tanzania to the program. Our founder @marcelorraine did the honours of welcoming our new devs, sharing the vision behind Dada Devs, and why this program is crucial. The passion and enthusiasm from our students was inspiring as they were taken through the curriculum and outlined expectations. 💡 This is just the beginning, and we can't wait to see the amazing things they will achieve! 💪 Africa's financial landscape is evolving, and we are here to ensure more women contribute! Let’s get to work! #Bitcoin #WomenInTech #Devs #Blockchain #DadaDevs #Cohort2
