Special day in the EOD community! The Commandant presented the Order of Thomas Kane to LTC (R) “Bob” Linedecker. This award honors our most extraordinary. A Vietnam vet, and our historian partnered with SGM Mike Vining @BlastingThrough, this is absolutely him. Thank you, Bob!
At the Ordnance Museum today, two young LTs were admiring the display on SGM Mike Vining (@BlastingThrough). I walked up and asked if they’d like to talk to him. They’re like, ‘Are you serious?’ So I called him, and he talked to them on the spot. Thanks Mike for taking the time to make these young leaders’ day!! This is why you are the legend! This is what legacy looks like!
Imagine that? Make delicious healthy food and a good experience… people use it!! Thanks @RobertIrvine, we’re on the right path!
Soldiers are using the Army’s new dining halls ‘exponentially’ more, official says trib.al/Ay2k2ov
Congratulations to the next class of EOD SGMs!! All top tier leaders!! @EODHappyCaptain @BlastingThrough
Not positive, but good chance this is the @Official_SEAC’s first pink glittered coin.
The newly minted Order of Thomas Kane (father of EOD) on display by 2 of the longest serving techs in the Army… ever! Thanks cap! @EODHappyCaptain
Between the @EODCSM and the Command Sergeant Major of the National Guard (also EOD), those gold Service Strips are sold out across the country.
Save some service for the rest of us, geesh.
Just two guys that happened to both love to take care of people, and love this country! Great seeing you chef! Thanks for all you do for our team! @RobertIrvine
I’d say we’ll take care of the great Chef, but he can handle himself with the best!! His personality, expertise, and wit make him a natural fit for the EOD community! He goes towards problems with the zeal to solve them!
It was an honor to present the Ordnance Order of Thomas J. Kane to CSM James Brian Kendrick.
Named for COL Thomas J. Kane—the father of U.S. Army EOD—this award recognizes those who have served the EOD career field with exceptional integrity, character, competence, and selfless contributions that stand out to their peers and leaders.
From his time as an EOD tech and First Sergeant with the 221st Ordnance Company (including coordinating teams in OIF) to serving as Florida ARNG State CSM and now as Command Sergeant Major of the Army National Guard, CSM Kendrick has earned this recognition many times over.
Congratulations, CSM Kendrick. Your leadership and service honor the EOD family and COL Kane’s legacy.
The drop the mic line of the day, “I was born British, I chose to be American!” Chef @RobertIrvine Chef, we are better for your patriotism! Thank you and will see you at the EOD Memorial and Ball!
