20 years since Anna Politkovskaya was murdered.
A fearless journalist who refused to look away, even when facing threats and attempts on her life.
She refused to be silenced, continuing to speak out against corruption and abuse.
This week, we were honoured to welcome her granddaughter Anna Victoria to @Europarl_EN to remember Anna’s courage, her work and the terrible price she paid for it.
Her legacy lives on among us too, with our Brussels press room carrying her name.
We remember Anna. And we will never forget what she stood for.
