The four needs of every person: feel connected, capable, counted, courageous. To lead a family or team, we need to tap into these to help our people thrive. @alysonschafer .

There seem to be three main buckets of leadership. Personal leadership, team leadership, and organizational leadership. The first is likely the most important and overlooked because it deals with your own actions and how you interact with the world. It is the lever of leadership.

Often a mistake I make with productivity is I try to force it. If it's not hitting, pivot and find something else. Use a Pomodoro timer. If you can't get in a groove after a cycle, do something else - even if it's lower priority. If you find flow, roll with it and repeat.

I just realized that the Falcons passed on paying 26-year-old Lamar Jackson $200 million over four years so they could pay 36-year-old Achilles tear Kirk Cousins $180 million instead

There are very few absolutes in the world of health and human performance. There is one study, however, that I think every trainer, coach, rehab specialist, and fitness enthusiast should read and understand: ericcressey.com/the-study-ev…

Could be a hot take here but maybe NFL practice environments actually need to require more realistic, representative, and alive practice tasks for their QB?! I mean, I believe all players need to be subjected to this > but what we are seeing w/QB in '23 could be direct byproduct
The NFL is hoping to avoid this becoming the fifth straight week that a starting quarterback has suffered a season-ending injury. Kirk Cousins ruptured his Achilles in Week 8, Daniel Jones tore his ACL in Week 9, Deshaun Watson fractured his shoulder in Week 10, and Joe Burrow tore a wrist ligament in Week 11.
