If you can evaluate, you can win. Jake Dickert can evaluate. All this era is doing is drawing a bright line between the dumb spenders and the smart ones.

He’s saying something along the lines of “Our defense is better than your offense… try something with a chance of working. Oh, and see where we are in YEAR ONE? How is Year 5 going over there?” Something like that.

@ESPNDari what do you think is being said here or is he taunting the Sooners coaches??

Waking up feeling dejected about the state of the OU football program. Feel bad for the defense. Play their guts out every week and get gutted by the offensive miscues and play calling. Without a major turnaround, some BIG changes have to happen. ‼️NOT GOOD ENOUGH‼️

That's the thing. He makes a small handful of good plays every game. Yet, that's all our staff seems to focus on. Yes, Mateer battles. People battle every day of their lives and still aren't right for the position/job they have. It's more than battling and being good every now and then. Why doesn't consistency matter?

Brent Venables on John Mateer: “I saw improvement… Played well most of the game… I thought he battled his butt off… I thought he did really good stuff that we can build confidence from.” #Sooners

Because the head coach will not hold the offensive players and coaches accountable.

Ok fine - I'll tweet. I took this weekend off - I do it once a fall. Been watching football tonight after a family day today. And I'm reminded of something... Other teams have QB's that "make plays." Other teams have WR's that "get open." Other teams have backs that break "big runs." Why doesn't Oklahoma? Why does every positive yard gained look so difficult for that offense? There are many, many reasons. And every one of them SUCKS. I'll enjoy watching more GOOD football as the night goes to early morning.

"Don't tweet about the QB. Don't do it. You'll regret it. Don't mention pocket presence. Don't mention decision-making. Just don't. Be smart, dude." Me to myself NOW.

Heard this and also wondered if he might have secondarily referred to moving players in and out of the lineup, mid-game…. Noah Best, Heath Ozaeta…

I asked Brent Venables about Bill Bedenbaugh and the instability/development/trajectory of the offensive line: "It's been inconsistent and incredibly disappointing... Transfer portal is the No. 1 reason... A very uneven job in terms of (who they've added in the portal on the OL)... Way too many guys coming and going at that position group... It's been very unstable and certainly not the development you'd want."

Tennessee changed quarterbacks today. The Vols also handed off to a running back 34 times. It CAN be done.

As named by "Rizzo405" on The Dari Nowkhah Show on @KREFsports, the play (you know, ugh, the play) will now be known as "The Slip Six."

How does the OU coaching staff try and get John Mateer out his funk? SEC Network analyst Gene Chizik laid out what needs to happen over the next several days. “More than anything, they’ve got to approach this pragmatically…You do nothing but study cut ups.” @CoachGeneChizik
