Not “free with ads” free.
Not “free if you give us all of your data” free.

In our Archives, we preserve 38,916 registration photos of Auschwitz prisoners: 31,969 photos of men and 6,947 photos of women.
Most of the pictures were taken between early 1941 and early 1943. They are an important document of the dehumanization system in which people were turned into numbers. Yet, each photo allows us to see the face of a person.
Listen to our podcast in which Dr. Wojciech Płosa, the head of Auschwitz Memorial Archives, talks about the history of these photographs: youtube.com/watch?v=c2l9hDA5…

ALT Framed black-and-white photographs of Auschwitz prisoners displayed in a grid on a wall. Each photo shows a prisoner, some wearing striped uniforms, others in plain clothes, with somber expressions. The images are accompanied by nameplates beneath them, providing the names and details of the individuals.
