With US throttling of Starlink/shield sp to Ukraine it is reasonable to examine F35 dependencies such as: Msn Data; ALIS-ODIN; In flt links; GPS M Code
Can POTUS stop / restrict that sp: Yes
Would it ground the fleet: Not immediately but would increasingly degrade it over time

Hegseth on Afghanistan:
I was a captain in Afghanistan, and we would go to the headquarters in Kabul, and there would be 50 flags at the headquarters.
It was a beautiful thing to see 50 different countries contributing to the NATO alliance and the ISAF mission there.
Except there were like maybe five that contributed. It was actually closer to one or two that, by the end, were actually involved in kinetic operations.
In fact, the ISAF patch, we would joke that it meant "I Saw Americans Fighting."
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Over 1100 non-American soldiers from 31 US-allied countries were killed fighting in Afghanistan, approximately 1/3 of the total combat deaths.

US has not spent $350B on Ukraine. It has spent $132B, $33B of that is money. The rest is $21B in loans, repaid from frozen Russian assets, $4B in humanitarian aid, and the vast majority, $74B is military equipment.
Half that equipment is new, made in the US. The other half is old stockpile equipment, which soon would have had to be demilitarized at great cost. The replacement equipment is made in the US, so the money stays in the US.
Meanwhile, the EU and European countries have spent a combined $271B, more than twice as much as the US.

This is the most seriously damaging act taken against Canada by the US that I am aware of in my adult life.
Canada's reaction to it must be deeply & sagely considered .. But there MUST be action & we must believe this has not occurred in isolation

🔴Tariffs Backfire: Canada Hits the Brakes on U.S. Cars
U.S. tariffs meant to pressure Canada are backfiring on American automakers. Only 28.4% of new vehicles sold in Canada in H1 2026 were U.S.-built, down from 35.4% a year earlier and about 40% from 2021–2025, J.D. Power Canada reports. A decade ago nearly half were American-made.
A 25% U.S. levy on Canadian cars, slated to double and expand to parts, steel and vehicles in January 2027, sparked Canadian counter-tariffs on U.S. autos, steel and aluminum. Canada remains the largest U.S. auto export market—larger than the next 10 combined—with over $100 billion in annual trade.
Brian Kingston said every metric shows U.S. policy is damaging the U.S. auto industry. GM and Stellantis reported billions in losses. Kelley Blue Book estimates prices could jump $6,000. Since January 2025 the U.S. has lost about 75,000 manufacturing jobs, including 25,900 in vehicles and parts.

Serious question for Ottawa Conservatives: why do you seem totally incapable of Premier Moe’s moral clarity, and defence of Canadian interests👇?
In the face of a bizarre, empty threat by the President to move US potash sources from Canada to Belorusian “blood potash,” why was your first instinct to talk about the completely irrelevant industrial carbon tax???
It’s frankly embarrassing.
Are you that focussed on the 5% of Canadians who have a high regard for Trump?
For goodness sake, why does it seem so difficult for you to call out Trump’s threats and attacks on our country and economy???
More than 40 countries - Canada and its allies - have sanctions against Belarus for supporting war criminal Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.
Buying blood potash from Belarus is supporting Russian aggression.
It’s wrong and it doesn’t make sense.
All of that potash has to be shipped first through Russia, then across the ocean, then across the US to mid-western farmers.
Does anyone believe Belarusian blood potash shipped through Russia is going to be more affordable, more sustainable or more ethical than potash shipped from Saskatchewan - right here in North America?
