Human nature has an addiction to slavery. Today people feel enlightened that we have purged racial slavery in the United States. We warn against human trafficking and sexual slavery today.
Meanwhile, we ignore a different slavery. The financial slavery we impose on future generations. How is it any different than the other forms of debauched slavery we claim from the pulpit and our public podiums to oppose?
By indebting the nation, as we do every minute of every day, we forcibly take liberty and labor from an unrepresented population. That population will never enjoy the fruits of the labor we impinge upon them. They must serve masters who forced them into servitude.

🚨 BREAKING: Sen. JOHN KENNEDY (R-LA) has just SIGNED ON to postpone the Senate Leadership elections for John Thune on Tuesday, so they can actually figure out who should lead
Even JOHN KENNEDY is hesitant...
Sen. RICK SCOTT backs the effort from Sen. Ron Johnson, along with Mike Lee
Needs 5 SIGNATURES! 👏🏻
"I have signed Sen. Ron Johnson’s letter to postpone Senate Republican leadership elections next Tuesday. Ron needs 5 signatures." — Kennedy
We need to make the SMART choice here rather than rush in barely a week post-midterms
And Senate Republicans should spend this time working hard to get everything done before Dems take over!

Capitalism is perhaps the most misunderstood economic system in history, largely because it is routinely blamed for the consequences of violating its own principles.
Capitalism means private property, individual rights, voluntary trade, and a government limited to protecting those rights. It is a system in which individuals are free to produce, compete, trade, and prosper without requiring political permission or favoritism.
Cronyism, by contrast, means government granting economic privileges through subsidies, bailouts, tariffs, regulations designed to protect favored businesses, and other forms of political favoritism.
Socialism, communism, fascism, theocracy, absolute monarchy, feudalism, mercantilism, corporatism, and cronyism differ in their doctrines, methods, and objectives. Yet all have permitted political authority or privileged groups to override individual economic freedom.
The fundamental distinction is between voluntary exchange and political coercion.
Under capitalism, economic success depends on creating value that others voluntarily choose to purchase. Under cronyism, political influence can substitute for earning that success through trade.
This brings us to the mixed economy, where elements of capitalism coexist with government intervention, redistribution, regulation, and political favoritism.
When intervention produces unintended consequences, critics routinely attribute those failures to capitalism simply because they occurred in an economy containing private businesses and markets.
That is a fundamental error of causation.
The existence of private businesses does not make every government policy capitalist. Nor does the existence of wealthy businessmen make political favoritism a product of free markets.
A businessman who earns a fortune through voluntary trade and one who obtains privileges through political coercion are operating on fundamentally different principles.
Pure laissez-faire capitalism has never been fully implemented. Yet to the extent economic freedom has existed, it has demonstrated its extraordinary capacity to create wealth, increase productivity, encourage innovation, and raise living standards.
And here lies the great irony.
The remaining economic freedom continues to generate much of the wealth that makes government intervention and redistribution possible, while helping cushion society against their destructive consequences.
Critics then demand further intervention to remedy problems caused or aggravated by previous interventions, perpetuating a cycle in which political power expands while capitalism receives the blame.
Before blaming capitalism for any economic problem, establish whether that problem arose from voluntary exchange or the coercive exercise of political power.
You cannot reasonably condemn a system for the consequences of violating its principles while ignoring the benefits produced when those principles are respected.

I am disturbed by reports that businesses in Philadelphia are being targeted for boycotts because they have Jewish owners.
We are guaranteed the right to peaceful protest and to freedom of speech. It is fundamental to who we are as Americans. That includes the freedom to oppose the war in Gaza, and the actions of the Netanyahu government.
Yet we must speak clearly when confronted with blatant antisemitism. Targeting businesses simply because they are owned by Jews — and on the eve of Kristallnacht, when Nazis terrorized Jewish families, businesses and synagogues — is unacceptable.
I believe protesting in this way is harmful and misguided, and I urge the organizers to desist.

Here's what the bill actually said. Let me know which part you disapprove of.
HB 741 of 20l9 signed during an overseas trade mission in Israel in May of 2019.
* Added religion as a protected class against discrimination for students and employees within Florida public education systems including colleges and universities.
* Mandated that public education institutions treat antisemitism motivated discrimination identically to discrimination motivated by race.
* Codified the IHRA definition of anti-semitism in state education statutes to guide administrators in identifying anti-Semitic behavior. The same definition is accepted globally by the United Nations and by 11 other states.
* The bill explicitly stated that the law could not be construed to diminish or infringe upon the First Amendment Free speech rights noting that criticism of Israel, similar to that leveled against any other country, cannot be regarded as anti-Semitic
Instead of chasing a boogie man or showing pictures of "look he was standing there next to someone who did bad things... And he probably had boots on" why don't you debate the merits of the actual legislation that was UNANIMOUSLY passed by both houses of the Florida legislature. 100% of Republicans and Democrats agreed to the language in this bill.

Ron DeSantis is 100% right: Democrats won’t fix affordability—they’re going to make it worse.
Their only plan is printing more cash, fueling inflation, and attacking American energy.
You cannot print your way out of a crisis while crushing fossil fuels. Democrats are completely clueless.

The Electoral College gives residents of small states like New Hampshire and Nevada a reason to vote.
"In the run-up to the elections, Democrats pointed to data centers, and Republican support for their development, as key drivers of electricity price increases ... Last year, research from the Brattle Group and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory found that data centers were actually decreasing costs in certain regions. And another study by the Electric Power Research Institute found that a doubling of data center capacity between 2019 and 2024 resulted in a 4 percent drop in home electricity prices."

Voter ID ballot measures passed in Nevada, North Carolina, and Ohio this week.
Citizen-only voting measures also passed in Alaska, Arkansas, Kansas, West Virginia, and South Dakota.

With the Democrats controlling both the House and Senate, the Democrats' eagerness to explore every possible wrongdoing will become huge as they seek a feast of Republicans to be preyed upon.
The next two years will become even bigger than the Watergate Investigations. The depth of hatred the left has for the President and his team will manifest itself in unending efforts to find scandals and if necessary invent scandals.
Every Republican had better have a good friend who is a lawyer (and maybe even two or three).

In my humble opinion, here is what WE should learn from this election.
For far too many years, Congress has perfected the art of avoiding responsibility. Rather than exercising the powers and fulfilling the duties entrusted to them by the Constitution, members of Congress have become experts at passing the buck and pointing fingers to the executive branch. They want the appearance of leadership without the burden of accountability.
For the past two years, Republicans in Congress have largely hidden behind Trump, apparently expecting his popularity and their redistricting efforts to carry them across the finish line. In many cases, those redistricting efforts ended up smacking them right in the face.
But here’s the bigger problem:
The Republican Congress spent precious little time telling the American people what it actually stood for, what it intended to accomplish, or what kind of government it intended to deliver. There was no compelling vision of constitutional governance, no consistent message of principle, and no meaningful effort to demonstrate why voters should trust them with another opportunity.
Now they have to claw their way back to earning that trust.
The Democrats can celebrate themselves all they want, but they would be wise not to misunderstand this election.
This was not a ringing endorsement of the Democratic Party or its agenda. It was, in large measure, a rejection of the alternative.
There is a difference, and Republicans would be foolish to ignore it.
And let me be clear: the Democratic agenda is not the answer. But neither is the Republican Party’s apparent lack of one.
The Republican Party doesn’t need a new political gimmick. It needs to remember its constitutional purpose.
The Constitution did not establish Congress to be a cheerleading section for the President. It established a legislative branch with specific, enumerated powers and corresponding responsibilities. Those responsibilities cannot be outsourced to the White House, abandoned for political convenience, or blamed on the other party when things go wrong.
Republicans need to return to constitutional principles, limited government, individual liberty, fiscal responsibility, and an economy that works for the American people, not just corporate tycoons, political insiders, and those who already have a seat at the table.
And perhaps most importantly, they need to stop making promises they have been making since at least the Obama administration and start delivering on them.
The American people are not obligated to remain loyal to a political party that refuses to be loyal to its principles.
This election wasn’t just a message to Republicans. It was a reminder to every elected official: Your office is a public trust, your authority comes with constitutional limitations, and your responsibility is to the people, not to your party, your political career, or the President.
Perhaps Congress should spend less time figuring out how to win the next election and more time remembering why the Constitution gave it the power to govern in the first place.

Americans voiced their frustrations this past Tuesday, but they didn’t vote to dismantle our entire system of government.
Attempting to pack the Supreme Court or abolish the Electoral College via the National Popular Vote will trigger a massive backlash.
