Friendly reminder to fans that using AI to clone ANYONE'S voice without their consent is invasive, disrespectful, and now illegal in some US states.
What may be "fun" for you can lead to a nightmare for a voice actor whose voice is saying things they may not have consented to.
Many NAVA members and members of the voice acting community have found their voices cloned without consent, control or compensation on 101soundboards. This egregious display underscores the need for basic AI protections at the federal level. We are actively working to pursue any legal avenues to remedy this issue but recommend the following actions while we continue to resolve this issue on behalf of the community.
