If your Direct Response brand is doing $200k+/mo and you’re still writing campaign briefs, chasing designs and reminding your agency to schedule emails…
You’re basically doing their job.
We’re taking on 2 more brands this Q4 to run their entire email & retention strategy, including subscriptions where applicable.
More second orders. Better LTV. Less of your day spent managing an agency.

If you run a subscription-first ecom brand, here's where I'd look before blaming churn on the product:
1. Subscription onboarding
Make the customer feel like joining was an upgrade.
Not:
"Thanks for subscribing."
Show them exactly what happens next.
2. Product adoption
No usage = no perceived value.
No perceived value = cancellation.
3. Pre-charge
Remind them before taking their money.
Surprise charges are a great way to create chargebacks and pissed-off customers.
4. Failed payment
Don't treat failed rebills like dead customers.
Build proper dunning.
5. Cancellation
Find out WHY they're leaving.
Too much product?
Delay.
Price?
Different offer.
Didn't see results?
Education
6. Winback
Cancellation is not equal to customer hates you forever.
Circumstances change. Don't give up.
Build these machines 👊

If you have a decent email list size for your ecom brand,
Do this to make a fck tons of money this Black friday:
And no you don’t have to wait until Nov27th to do this, ow you will be cooked.
Like literally.
Do these from today:
1. Deliverability: Try maintaining a good sender reputation. Send to engaged audiences only.
2. List growth: Increase your popup submit rate. And focus on getting the warm people inside the email list. Do this as much as you can.
3. Flows: Have core flows setup. It will not only warmup the emails, but will also make you money side by side.
4. Campaigns Calendar: before you send another campaign, build a campaign calendar. Go 80% Values based emails. Push plain text emails.
5. Campaigns: Send 3-4 Campaigns with good segmentation. Try getting good open rates atleast in these times.
6. Connect your domain to postmaster and consistently monitor everything there and on your own klaviyo deliverability dashboard.
Do these for the next 30 days. You will remember the Black Friday moment.
Make this your best BFCM yet my g.

If you're launching a new problem-solving product, test this:
Pre-launch email -> Advertorial -> PDP
vs
Pre-launch email -> PDP
We tested both for one of our brands.
Advertorial won.
Worth AB testing for more $$ on the actual and post launch days.
Sam retweeted
I'd say always test it out
Had clients get a 25%+ submit rate with this, but for others it just didn't work at all
Depends on the audience too
A 60+ year old grandma will most likely just get confused and bounce off the site

Just got off a 30 min call with a founder doing $10M/mo.
Turns out he’d already been following me here lol.
So let this be a friendly reminder:
Ecom, agency, SaaS, whatever you’re building...

Day 74-75 of getting to €1M / month
Most boring stuff get the most exciting results.
That's the truth.
Everything that will get you results is...
Boring.
Mundane.
And not flashy at all.
Research, writing copy, breaking down ads, taking away learnings and applying them.
All of it is BORING.
Takes hours.
And you cannot see ANY results immediately.
Takes days, weeks or even months to see them.
Sometimes even YEARS.
Yet in today's society we are trained to get everything NOW.
$1M / month? NOW.
Cool car? NOW.
Good wife? NOW.
TikTok may work like that.
But life and all the stuff you want for sure isn't.
Get back to the BORING tasks.
Boring, mundane, repetitive, not flashy tasks.
Because they truly get results you want.
Not some new AI UGC method from X.
Not some new way to create AI animation ads.
Not some new way to write native ads from YouTube.
You probably already know what you need to do.
So do it.
Because on this depends your future.
On the BORING stuff.
But...
It's sometimes hard to do boring stuff.
Your brain will look for more dopamine all the times.
So how do you get yourself to do boring stuff?
Simple.
Make your life boring.
Literally.
This is the whole life hack.
Why do you think all the biggest successful men started out in one single room with mattress and their computer (or whatever), didn't met anyone and just focused on their craft?
Because they knew that if they want to succeed they needed to make their life boring first.
So the work can become interesting for the brain.
That's the thing.
Remove all the dopamine from your life, so the work can become the source of dopamine.
Remove all social media.
Don't watch TV or listen to music.
Even don't go out and meet people lol
Sounds harsh?
Yeah I know...
But it gets results.
BOREDOM CREATES SUCCESS.
Remember.
Do boring stuff.
For enough time.
And you will get everything you ever wanted.
---
Today I wrote copy for 4 hours.
Then broken down one native ad copy for 5 hours.
It was boring. It was mundane.
But I didn't nothing else to do...
So I did it.
For some people this might sound sad.
For me it sounds like progress and me getting closer to my goal.
And that's what I care about.
---
Recently ad account got banned. Another time.
So need to get new ones.
All of it takes time.
But need to be patient.
Have a lot of ads ready to publish, just need the ad account to run them.
Tomorrow meeting with my friend. Also does ecom. Will spend some good time eating, talking about biz and sharing value.
Thank you all, God bless you and cya tomorrow

If you want to turn your eCom store into a brand that actually compounds over the next 90 days, try this:
Because doing $500k this month and praying Meta lets you do it again next month is NOT a sustainable business.
You need customers coming back.
You need LTV going up.
You need retention.
You need profit.
Here’s how I’d build it:
1. Pick ONE Primary Retention Outcome
Before touching another Klaviyo flow, figure out what you're actually trying to improve:
Repeat purchase rate
LTV
Subscription take rate
Churn
Purchase frequency
Contribution margin
Profit per customer
You can improve multiple metrics.
But ONE needs to lead the strategy.
Otherwise you end up doing random shit like:
“Let's add loyalty.”
“Let's launch SMS.”
“Let's send more campaigns.”
“Let's add a subscription popup.”
With zero idea what any of it is actually supposed to fix.
2. Understand WHY Customers Aren't Buying Again
This is the boring part nobody wants to do.
Everyone wants the fancy retention tactic.
Almost nobody wants to actually read:
Reviews
Support tickets
Survey responses
Cancellation reasons
Refund reasons
Chargebacks
Product complaints
Post-purchase questions
But retention problems usually start WAY before the second purchase.
Maybe they don't know how to use the product.
Maybe they didn't get the result they expected.
Maybe they forgot why they bought it.
Maybe they have too much product left.
Maybe there's no reason to reorder yet.
Maybe your post-purchase experience just sucks.
You can't email your way out of a product/customer experience problem.
Figure out the leak first.
3. Fix The Post-Purchase Journey
Most brands spend 95% of their brainpower getting the first order.
Then the customer buys...
And suddenly the brand goes non-chalant 😂
Order confirmation.
Shipping update.
“Leave us a review.”
Then 30 days later:
20% OFF!!! BUY AGAIN!!!
Retarded.
The first purchase should be the START of the relationship.
Your post-purchase system should move someone through:
Purchase → Excitement → Adoption → Result → Habit → Reorder
Especially if you're selling:
Supplements
Skincare
Beauty
Consumables
Subscription products
If they don't properly use the product...
Why tf would they buy it again?
Retention starts with adoption.
Not discounts.
4. Build The Backend Before Trying To Scale It
At minimum, I'd want lifecycle systems around:
Welcome
Browse abandonment
Cart abandonment
Checkout abandonment
Post-purchase
Product education
Cross-sell
Replenishment
Review collection
Winback
VIPs
Subscription onboarding
Failed payments
Cancellation prevention
But don't build 25 flows just so your Klaviyo account looks sophisticated.
Every flow needs a JOB.
What objection does it remove?
What behavior does it create?
What purchase does it move the customer toward?
What metric should change because this exists?
That's the game.
5. Build A Weekly Retention System
Stop waking up Monday thinking:
“Fuck, what campaign do we send today?”
Build an actual system.
Every week:
Source campaign ideas
Segment customers
Write
Design
QA
Send
Analyze
Repurpose winners
Update flows
Review customer feedback
Retention shouldn't depend on whether somebody remembered to send an email that week.
The backend should operate like a machine.
6. Optimize Based On PROFIT, Not Klaviyo Screenshots
This is where a lot of brands screw up.
They see:
“Email generated 35% of revenue 🔥”
And think retention is goated.
Cool.
But what happened to:
Repeat purchase rate?
Cohort LTV?
Purchase frequency?
Subscription retention?
Churn?
Margin?
Incremental revenue?
Profit?
You can blast discounts every week and make Klaviyo attribution look beautiful.
Meanwhile you're training your entire customer base to never buy full price.
Revenue ≠ good retention.
The goal is profitable customer value over time.
7. Scale What Already Works
Once you know what actually moves LTV:
Scale it.
If education improves second-purchase rate → build more education.
If a specific reorder window wins → automate it.
If bundles increase AOV + repeat rate → push them harder.
If certain cohorts retain better → understand WHY and acquire more people like them.
If subscription customers churn after month 2 → fix month 1 BEFORE spending more money acquiring subscribers.
Your retention data should start feeding your acquisition strategy.
That's when things get interesting.
Because now you're not just asking:
“How cheaply can we acquire a customer?”
You're asking:
“Which customers can we afford to pay MORE to acquire because they're worth more to us?”
That's a much bigger moat.
The goal over the next 90 days isn't:
“Make email 30% of revenue.”
The goal is to build a business where every new customer becomes more valuable AFTER you acquire them.
So you're not forced to keep feeding Meta more money just to survive.
Acquisition gets you the customer.
Retention makes the economics work.
LTV gives you room to scale.
Profit keeps you alive.
That's how you go from an eCom store that prints when ads are hot...
to a sustainable brand that compounds for years.

Started my online journey joining @GadzhiIman course called Digital launchpad.
Before that, I had a dream of becoming a Chartered Accountant.
Covid came & everything collapsed.
So I joined his course & started working from a store room, because I didn't have enough rooms.
I had less than $100 in my bank & joined @retentiongoat event.
Ever since then I am running a Multi 6 figures Email marketing agency from a third world country like Nepal.
And helped my clients generate over 8 figures in Revenue from emails.
Some of the love shown by my clients.
Only up from here insallah🤝
