Heading home after a couple of days in the southwest demoing our services to teams from 4 prisons. During the pandemic I’ve really missed being face to face with staff to hear feedback about what’s live and what we plan to build. “It’s good to know that our ideas are listened to”

Does anyone have any contacts on the DVLA digital team? I'm seeing this header issue on the 'View your driving licence information service'. (Safari 14.1.2).

Sad to hear of the passing of Mike Kruzeniski (@mkruz). I have some great memories of working with him in his Nokia days. These pics are from 2007 when he was visiting the new UK design office. F**k cancer!

My cousin’s son is missing in Melbourne, Australia. If my followers over there could retweet the message below I’d appreciate it, or if you have friends / relatives over there (particularly in Victoria) could you send this on? Thanks.
My lovely son Tyler is missing since Monday, somewhere in Melbourne. He has apparently not been well lately. Please share this far and wide so we can get him home safe If you have seen him, please get in touch with Victoria Police on 03 8530 5100

Update: he’s thankfully been found alive and is being cared for.

Phew! Sweet relief. The 4 year abomination is over and a weight is lifted.

GDPR has absolutely ruined the internet. I'm so, so tired of permission pop-ups. Every site has a different implementation and all are terrible in their own ways. Why can't it be done better? On the browser level or something? There must be another way. Is it pop-ups forever? 😫

One of our ladies has drawn this architects design of the home she aspires to build on release. Incredible detail, all to scale, 4 sheets worth. Hopes, dreams and ambitions, just like everyone else, and seeing a future beyond her current situation. So positive 👍😁

Looking at replies on here is so broken at the moment. An example is below and these were the first ones below the original tweet. Locked account replies should either not be shown at all apart from to followers or always appear last.

I was reminded today of the brilliant logo for the Japanese delivery company Yamato Transport. The black cat (kuroneko) carrying her kitten symbolises the care they will take with the items entrusted with them to deliver.

The latest addition to my sign collection, this came from a now closed Manchester nightclub that I’m keen to try and identify. I believe it’s from the 1980s or early 90s. It’s custom-made metal and perspex and used to illuminate. The plan is to clean it and get it working again.

On my way home after visits to 3 Welsh prisons in 2 days, demoing our new services & preparing them for rollout. HMP Usk & Prescoed are unlike any prison I’ve been to yet, with the latter set in the middle of a pine forest. HMP Cardiff in the city centre was quite a contrast.

Today was a good day, spent in HMP Hewell helping the team there get up and running with our new prisoner activities service. I ended the visit with a tour of Hewell Grange (a stately home holding Cat Ds) and was allowed to bottle feed milk to a calf on the prison farm. Now home!
