Ridiculous of the British Museum to remove the word 'Palestine" from its displays, when it has a greater antiquity than the word "British". The first reference to Palestine is on the Egyptian monument of Medinet Habu in 1186BCE. The first reference to Britain is the 4th century BC when it appears in the work of the Greek traveler Pytheas of Massalia.

The BBC found evidence Israeli forces deliberately sniped Palestinian children — over 60% shot in the head or chest.
Israel has killed about 21,000 children in two years, with a spike even before October 7.

1. The Starmer government has been repeatedly caught lying in claiming it has limited arms exports to Israel during the Gaza genocide. In fact, Ch4 finds there were record arms sales to Israel in June and September.
2. The only major group trying practically to stop arms exports – by targeting weapons factories in the UK – was Palestine Action. The Starmer government outlawed the group as a terrorist organisation in early July, just as the steep rise in arms sales was underway.
3. More than 2,000 people have been arrested so far on terrorism charges for peacefully protesting Palestine Action's proscription – as police forces repeatedly voice concern that resources are being overstretched to enforce the ban and normal policing is suffering.
4. The government has just announced further limitations on the right to protest, effectively letting the police decide which issues the public can protest. The police have already made clear that they want to stop protests against British government complicity in Israel's genocide, including on the matter of UK arms exports.
5. The bigger picture: All of this is being done to keep UK weapons flowing to Israel as it continues its annihilation of Gaza.
EXCLUSIVE: Israel’s arms imports from the UK have hit record high values in recent months, our @FactCheck team can reveal.

Mahmoud Khalil was thrown in prison for 3 months for protesting Gaza and the day ABC pulled Kimmel off the air (for two eps!) a judge upheld Khalil’s deportation. Rümeysa Öztürk was kidnapped off the street and imprisoned for writing an op-ed on Gaza. I feel like I’m going insane

Amazing. The BBC tried to block Kneecap from saying "Free Palestine" on TV and have gotten Bob Vylan saying "Death to the IDF" instead.

It's now clear from the Israeli occupation forces own figures that they've murdered over 377,000 people so far in Gaza....
That's more than 100 times the death toll in the North of Ireland over 30 years...they have slaughtered in 20 months.
Unforgivable...the most evil regime on earth.

I don't think anyone expected him to say anything better.
But he'd probably have been better maintaining his usual silence.
Iran were negotiating - when Israel launched a war on them. The US joined in - and now our Prime Minister basically says "well they were asking for it.'
Iran’s nuclear programme is a grave threat to international security. Iran can never be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon and the US has taken action to alleviate that threat.
The situation in the Middle East remains volatile and stability in the region is a priority. We call on Iran to return to the negotiating table and reach a diplomatic solution to end this crisis.
