Sitting at @Allegiant gate again and again there are pages for Allegiant air personnel to return to the gate. NoShows! Empty gate = ticked off flyers.
Happy 90th to the legendary Willie Nelson. This photo is one of my all time faves. Willie leaving the recording studio-
I have no idea why I followed him out that day. I stopped at the door as he smiled gently at me. I managed to snap a frame as he passed by on his way to his bus
Another legend gone. Lots of great memories of working with Gary Rossington, lead guitarist for Lynyrd Skynyrd. I made this portrait of him while working on a new record at Oceanway Studios in Nashville. #GaryRossington #lynyrdskynyrd
The passing of Michael Rhodes has left me with such a heavy heart. A true musician’s musician. A genius bass player Michael was considered one of Nashville’s top session musicians for decades, and a good friend by many like me. #michaelrhodes
"Doc" Watson was an American guitarist, songwriter, and singer of bluegrass, folk, country, blues, and gospel music. Watson's fingerstyle and flatpicking skills, were highly regarded. I shot this photo of Doc waiting to go on at the Ryman Auditorium. #docwatson
Tommy McLain (born March 15, 1940) is an American swamp pop musician, best known as a singer but who also plays keyboards, drums, bass guitar, and fiddle. I photographed him at Riverside Revival in East Nashville. #americanafest2022 #eastnashville #swamp #rock
Songwriting great Dallas Fraser passed this week. Digging through my Songwriter archives I found Marty Stuart and Connie Smith singing Elvira with Dallas in his basement. Connie Smith recorded 72 of the hitmaker-turned-minister's songs between 1966-2021.
