This is my last tweet. Took a long break. Came on a few times over the holidays and immediately found it emotionally exhausting. Anyway, there are ppl on here I really enjoy and just thought I’d say bye 👋🏼

When @fordnation introduced Bill 124, he trampled the Charter rights of nurses, health-care professionals, and all public sector workers. Bill 124 has been declared unconstitutional, but Ford is still trying to deny those rights. Let's send him a clear message: NO APPEAL!

This is so damning. In his ruling on Bill 124, the justice found Ontario was not facing a financial situation that justified an infringement of Charter rights- in fact he found the Ford government didn’t provide a rationale at all for needing the legislation to cut costs (1/3) -

This is the kind of sleazy politics that turns people off entirely. @fordnation caught behind closed doors saying he will,“open up the #greenbelt”, then publicly saying he will “unequivocally not touch the greenbelt”, to now just opening doing it. It’s all around wrong. #onpoli – at Toronto, Ontario

A pregnant friend was due to deliver a baby today, baby is going to require heart surgery at birth. They postponed her induction and sent her home because Sick Kids hospital doesn't have the capacity to look after the newborn. Our pediatric hospitals are struggling. Pray for MJ

So glad there is a tentative agreement! Gotta say- @Sflecce masterfully said the same two points in a multitude of ways. What a redundant speak wizard he is. #onted

So disappointed to learn that the govt hasn’t actually given another inch in services, and this tentative agreement is likely only that.

Calling it now - @Sflecce will force a strike, schools will close, transmission of #Covid the flu, noro, will decline, @CHEO et al will get a small reprieve. @fordnation will use that to brag about their handling of healthcare and blame the union for the strike. #onpoli #onted

The provincial government has essentially two jobs. Health care and education. They are desperately failing at both.

Collusion much?
Talk about timing. In September, prominent developer Michael Rice paid $80M for land that’s been protected for almost two decades. Weeks later, Doug Ford announced changes to the Greenbelt. Rice’s land was suddenly set to open up for housing. thenarwhal.ca/ford-ontario-g…

Former Health Minister Christine Elliott made this same announcement in September 2021. Jones is announcing the same (unspent) money. #SmokeAndMirrors #ResignSylviaJones

PSA: CUPE workers have conceded on wages, but are holding out to ensure services for our children are properly funded. If they don’t stand up for these services right now, the opportunity is lost for good. @Sflecce holding out tells us everything we need to know about him. #onted

When you say “We all know what this is about” you’re referring to your secret mandate letter instructing you to destabilize public education, yes?

If you calculate it by the school instructional year, it’s 11.5 years of school closures…
