A beautiful display of lightskin r&b singer behaviour. He’s destined for greatness I love it, the hopeless romantic fuckboy is back baby
(I just typed up some bullshit fr, Mr Nippa that song with Kaytranada is so good omg)
Yup! It’s hard for you to wanna vote for us when we’re publicly backstabbing each other. It’s just ugly. We gotta get a handle on it somehow. Good to hear ur honest opinions of us like this tho.
Replying to @Ed_Rants
I think ultimately the crux of the issue is that it's hard to see people who contradict/undermine their allies and friends publicly as decent people - and it's really hard to vote for someone I don't think is a good person even if I share their political ideas.
Imagine Bam Bam as new bigwig in the scene to rally excitement, partner that with backing it’s new talent (e.g. Suggz), adopting some outliers (e.g. M1caspa) and the veterans (e.g. Y Tef) leading?
This could be a resurgence of UK Road/Real Rap if the cards are played right!
‘Crime Rate 2’ by Little Torment (ft Ratlin & Bam Bam) ended the week with 398 sales in the UK 📈
A very interesting collaboration, particularly because it marks the long-awaited musical return of Bam Bam, an artist UK Rap listeners have been asking about for years.
The fact that Little Torment managed to bring Bam Bam back onto a record alongside Ratlin is something worth appreciating.
How did this never occur to me before?
Huh.
When you think about it yh they had a bit of shine in Afroswing and Trapwave but seemed short lived on brief thought?
It’s almost like they got typecast by UK Rap audiences and can’t get out, anyone got any theories?
Kwengface is one of the few guys that can still cut through making more traditional UK Drill.
The respect he has from the scene, fans and commentators alike, is a big reason why and he’s earned that respect over a decade.
Legacy stamped and will never rub off I reckon.
This is the one that will cut through from him this year me thinks.
He’s been in that “the music isn’t the problem but somethings not connecting like it did before” predicament this year.
Happens sometimes to the best of artists but I think this will get him out of it.
PLEASE CAN WE GET REGULARLY UPDATED CORE GUIDELINE DOCS FOR ALL MEMBERS THAT WILL BE ENGAGING THE PUBLIC ON MAINSTREAM MEDIA SO WE CAN HAVE CONSISTENT COMMS ON OUR STANCES AFTER WE’D VOTED ON/AGREED ON THEM INTERNALLY? 🧵
'Is that a really good use of his time?'
'Raising money for a cancer charity?'
The Green Party's @floschechter brands Andy Burnham going on Gogglebox as 'ridiculous'.
We’ve started recognise this state of play and I love how many both the public facing leadership or entry level members (like myself) are adopting a “take no prisoners” attitude, but we got so used to adversarial we force it when census politics on some issues is jst natural.
