I'm calling a hiatus on Twitter. It's never been the same since it Musk made it his play toy.
Musk doesn't align with my belief set. I accept we're all different and celebrate diversity, however I don't want to help fund his behaviour.

@SarahWeirOBE this is such a powerful piece of evidence to demonstrate the value of design. Please can you share the research document source, so I can share it far and wide @designcouncil
“For every £1 spent solving a problem in design stage, it costs £10 to tackle in development and £100 to rectify after launch” Sarah Weir OBE @designcouncil highlights the importance of early stage interventions. #festivalofplace #cities #urbanplanning
I’m getting close to ditching Twitter. After 20yrs on the platform I feel like the work I’ve put into my account, mostly in the first decade, is of less and less value. Since Elon took over, it’s general content is of lower value and a lot more untrustworthy.
But I feel more uncomfortable by the day lining Elon’s pockets, who is clearest narcissistic ego manic with right leaning principles I believe I’ve ever encountered, possibly with the exception of Trump.
Unadulterated magic in the Peak this morning. Started my morning dog walk with two flashes of blue as two kingfishers chased each other up the river. Happy to be in this space.
Just bumped into @LibDemDavid on our joint ways to work for Gov. The delight in sharing that he’d just been elected as we were talking about our respective places of work filled me with hope of positive change.
Go do good for your constituents and our country, David.
Please remember to vote today, whatever your flavour of preferred leadership #GE2024
Just had to stop myself from bobbing my head in time with Venga Boys - We like to party on @NTSlive - having a quiet word with myself...
Been very busy lately.
The latest post on my substack, wondering at the bounty that nature has produce with the warmer weather recently.

Whilst I’ve loved the warm weather we’ve had recently, I still love to see the woods cloaked in mist and gloriously green. An evening cuckoo calling in the light breeze. #peakdistrict
A trend that needs addressing. Increasing health inequality across England's regions. Coming as we see regional mayors elected for new terms, it feels like a strategic priority instituteofhealthequity.org/…

So sad to hear of the closure of @theatredelishef - the arts are really suffering at this time. It’s a hard time for many, but venues like this will take years to be re-established, if ever open.substack.com/pub/thetri…
