Four sports. 10 varsity letters. One extraordinary Edgewood career. Congratulations to Mackenzie Reese Swenson ’11, inducted into the Edgewood Athletic Hall of Fame! A standout in volleyball, basketball, soccer and softball, Mackenzie was named the 2011 Wisconsin State Journal All-Area Athlete of the Year. Her remarkable career included state runner-up volleyball, first-team all-state basketball honors and two soccer state championships—including scoring the game-winning goal with one second remaining in overtime to give Edgewood its first soccer state title. She continued her success playing Division II basketball at South Carolina-Aiken, scoring more than 1,000 career points. One of the most complete athletes in Edgewood history. Congratulations, Mackenzie! @Crusaders_ATH @EdgewoodHSMad #WIAA

Congratulations to Callie Zwettler Meiller ’01, recipient of Edgewood’s Mazzuchelli Award for Service to Christian Education. From IHM’s “10,000 Acts of Kindness” to expanding access for students with special needs—and now continuing her own development through Notre Dame’s LEAD Program—Callie exemplifies faith, leadership and service in action. Congratulations, Callie, on this well-deserved honor! @EdgewoodHSMad

Sitting in a fans seat…. 1. There are too many great games being played simultaneously. Need the day between matches for opening weekend & play throughout day Sat & Sun. 2. It is a travesty that the #1 HS girls sport in the country isn’t on linear television for every round.
