An irritating pain point for me because this is what goes on in science. Scientists (some) feel like they don’t have time to listen to people with different worldviews, because they figure it’s of no value. Now we have entire populations of people who do not know wtf is going on

I was called a DEI recruit to my face. (Not at Harvard; I would leave immediately) At NIH. My 2nd week in my postdoc. By another postdoc who TECHNICALLY, while not racially diverse, characterized as “DEI” too. In my head, I was like baby we are in the same boat 😂

Telling every man in the office I like their shirt then tallying the frequency at which they each wear it over the next quarter to calculate my individual influence to adjust the amount of seconds I look into their eyes accordingly
