My wife just had to explain to my (American born and living for her entire life) 10-year old daighter that this store is the “American version of Tim Hortons”
Put these two up over the weekend. It makes me happy every time I walk past them. I feel like I will be buying the other two over the next 12 months…
Should your kid participate in academic competitions?
If so, which competitions?
I argue it is:
1. Math
2. Knowledge
3. Writing
4. Speaking
5. Engineering and coding
What's not on my list is Music and Science Fairs and Business Plans.
Severe weather in Estepona Spain. All the schools shut down for two days (so far)
Nothing else seems to be shutdown for some reason. Clearly we don’t value the rest of society the way we care about the safety of children
The thing I like, that is under-discussed about the @AlphaSchoolATX & @gtschool & @TXSportsAcademy and what @jliemandt & @mackenzieprice are building is that the value is "help kids learn effectively and efficiently", and they prioritize that value; and OTHER SCHOOLS DON'T 🧵
If they find old Thor do you think they will believe Kennedy sent American troops (who weren’t Asgardian gods) to overthrew a dictator in the country of San Diablo?
You may enjoy my daughters TedX talk:

My four year olds favorite bedtime story is “tell me about President Garfield”
The story really has it all
Only better story is Todd Lincoln. In that film Garfield’s asassination is the first part of Act 2
