I’ll just say it: the sudden excitement around “just use Zcash” is insane. I don’t know a single person on Solana, Avalanche, or Polygon who’s actually using Zcash for day-to-day privacy. Why would they? You have to bridge off your chain, move assets to a completely separate ecosystem, and in the process break the cryptographic continuity you were trying to protect in the first place. That’s not privacy. That’s friction. Dark Protocol is the first thing that actually makes sense: native, on-chain shielding using zk-SNARKs. No weird detours, no cross-chain hopscotch, no “send it to another chain and pray.” You just swap one asset to another inside the dark pool, directly on the chain you already use. Fast. Simple. Real privacy. People need to think about privacy infrastructure beyond “Zcash did it first.” Yes, Zcash mattered. Yes, it led the early privacy meta. But that’s where the value stops- everything after that is whales trying to convince you to move liquidity to their chain. Actual users want native privacy on chains that actually get used. If I want privacy on Solana, I want a Solana-native solution. If I want privacy on Avalanche, I want it on Avalanche. Nothing else makes sense. Native privacy is the only privacy that will get real adoption.
