If there is one thing drivers and non-drivers can agree on, is that we need fewer other cars!

Whatever you think about politics this is such a joy to watch because it's a politician - John Prescott - who believes in what he's selling, taking on an audience largely hostile to his ideas and challenging their beliefs with his own well-founded arguments. It doesn't matter who "wins" because we all do - the richness of the debate and the journey of the argument is the win.
London followers: please come and watch my taiko drumming group play at Blackheath Halls this Saturday evening. I've attached a quick Venn diagram explainer about what it's like.

I'm on threads and bluesky with the same @. Can't promise to post, in fact I'm rather looking forward to spending more time reading books and less time scrolling.

It's not so much the number of possible sprint stages as the fact that the Paris stage will be the 50th anniversary of the first time the Tour finished on the Champs-Élysées that makes me think maybe Cavendish could ride one more Tour. No better place to retire than the Champs.
I have a gig upcoming with my Japanese drumming group, @taikomeantime. Blackheath Halls in London on Nov 23. Please support! It's a thunderous, dynamic show!

Was off Twitter yesterday, so late to this, but RIP Geoff Capes, who belied his terrible CdA to tuck away Everton goalie George Wood on a classy red Raleigh in the 1979 Superteams bike race.

Obviously we can't talk about 1970s Superstars and cycling without adding the time they sent athletes to race with slick tyres on a gravel athletics track.
