We've materially completed early site works at our Butcherbird Expansion Project in preparation for process plant construction and commissioning.
The program has established essential infrastructure and construction-ready areas, with detailed engineering substantially complete and all major equipment packages awarded, ordered and progressing through manufacturing.
Significant progress has also been achieved toward financial close of the AU$50 million NAIF financing package, with major commercial agreements completed.
Main construction is scheduled to commence in Q4 2026, supporting the planned recommencement of production at approximately 1.1Mtpa of manganese concentrate.

Petra Capital has maintained its Buy recommendation on @Element25Ltd (#ASX: #E25), with a revised price target of $1.25.
The latest research comes as early works get underway at the company's 100%-owned Butcherbird Manganese Project in WA's Pilbara, marking another step in E25's transition from developer towards producer.
Site clearing and earthworks are underway to establish construction areas for the expanded processing plant and associated infrastructure, with key construction contracts expected to be awarded shortly. Major long-lead equipment has also been ordered, including the 600tph logwasher which has already arrived in WA.
Petra also points to the commercial foundations already in place at Butcherbird, including a binding take-or-pay agreement with OM Holdings for 100% of the planned 1.1Mtpa manganese concentrate production, together with A$50 million in concessional funding from NAIF.
While Petra has reduced its target from $1.46 to $1.25 based on more conservative ramp-up and cost assumptions, it has maintained its Buy recommendation as Butcherbird moves closer to production.

We’ve commenced early site works at our Butcherbird Expansion Project (BBX) in preparation for the planned main construction phase.
Works include site clearing, bulk earthworks and preparation of the planned process plant, run-of-mine and non-process infrastructure, as well as construction of process water storage and pipelines.
The early works programme will establish critical project infrastructure and construction-ready areas for subsequent processing plant construction and commissioning, marking the transition of BBX into the construction phase.
The tender process for the main CSMP and E&I work package is well advanced, with contract award expected in line with the overall project plan.
Managing Director Justin Brown said “Commencement of the early works programme marks tangible progress in executing our development plan for the Butcherbird Expansion Project. The programme is focused on preparing the site and establishing the critical infrastructure required for the main construction phase”.

We’ve executed a definitive facility agreement for an AU$50M financing package provided through the Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility to support our Butcherbird Expansion Project in Western Australia.
The agreement comprises an AU$42.5 million Term Facility and AU$7.5 million Cost Overrun Facility, providing long-term, non-dilutive project finance and dedicated cost overrun support.
Execution of the binding facility agreement represents a major project financing milestone and progresses the previously announced NAIF funding package from commitment into an agreed contractual framework.
The Company will now focus on satisfying the remaining conditions precedent to financial close and first drawdown and advancing development activities for BBX.
MD Justin Brown said, “Execution of the definitive NAIF facility agreement marks a major milestone for Element 25 and the Butcherbird Expansion Project. Reaching Contractual Close means the Project now has a binding financing framework and represents a significant de-risking event.
We appreciate the strong support of @NAIFAustralia and the Australian Government throughout the assessment and documentation process.
Butcherbird is a strategically important critical minerals project with the potential to support both traditional manganese markets and growing demand for battery materials. Achieving contractual close with NAIF is a significant step forward in unlocking that potential.”

As we advance our Butcherbird Expansion Project (BBX) in WA's Pilbara, our subsidiary, Butcherbird Operations Pty Ltd, has signed a binding long-term offtake agreement with OM Materials (S) Pte Ltd (OMM), a subsidiary of OM Holdings Limited (ASX: OMH). The agreement secures offtake for 100% of manganese concentrate produced at Butcherbird Mine, while preserving flexibility to support future battery-grade High Purity Manganese Sulphate Monohydrate (HPMSM) production.
BBX is targeting production of 1.1 million tonnes per annum of manganese concentrate, advancing to mechanical completion and commissioning in Q1 CY2027.
Element 25 Managing Director, Justin Brown said:
“This agreement secures a high-quality, long-term offtake partner for manganese concentrate produced at our expanded Butcherbird Operations, extending our existing relationship with OMH and its subsidiary, OMM.
OMH has established downstream smelting capability, providing a strong commercial foundation for the Butcherbird Project over the initial five years of operation, and potentially beyond that timeframe.
Securing a strong offtake partner also represents a major step forward in de-risking the development pathway for our Butcherbird expansion, giving lenders and investors the confidence needed to support project financing.
The structure of our agreement delivers revenue certainty while still preserving market exposure, ensuring we participate in upside conditions without compromising stability.
Importantly, the agreement maintains our strategic flexibility, allowing Element 25 to continue advancing our value-added downstream ambitions, including our HPMSM battery materials program.”

Petra Capital has maintained its Buy recommendation on @Element25Ltd (ASX: E25) with a $1.46 price target. Based on today's share price of $0.225, the target represents potential upside of approximately 549%.
According to Petra Capital, the updated US$166 million grant agreement with the US Department of Energy reinforces the strategic importance of Element 25's planned High Purity Manganese Sulphate Monohydrate (HPMSM) refinery in Louisiana, which is expected to process concentrate from the company's Butcherbird Project in Western Australia.
The report also highlights growing demand for manganese in lithium-ion batteries as battery chemistries continue to evolve, with the broker viewing Element 25 as well positioned to benefit from increasing investment in secure domestic battery materials supply chains in the United States.
