Hi @elonmusk you’re not very good at this politics thing, first DOGE and now this.
Just thinking about the remarkable fact that Elon Musk will have dropped nearly a half a billion dollars on this election with no return... wow.

Sam Altman 2 days after saying nobody but him should own the global supply of RAM:
People should always be in control of the future. OpenAI is against the notion that it would be acceptable for people to be relegated to a role of doing things that “AI systems think makes sense to reward in humans”. People should not cede control of the future to superintelligence, and that requirement should ultimately constrain AI progress.

"When anything is going to happen in this country, it happens first in Kansas."—William Allen White, 1922
"The Democratic senator from Kansas." Never in our lives have we said that (except when referring to history). (By the way, I was a Bob Dole intern. Learned the names of a lot of Kansas towns when answering constituent mail.)

E a reação do Reddit mostra pra onde a internet tá indo.
Reddit's earnings call has exposed the new reality for thousands of companies. "AI mode does not drive traffic. Not for us and not to anybody as far as I know. It used to be a traffic driver. Now it's not." - Reddit CEO. The reality is that AI is fundamentally changing the way that humans access the internet. Just 24 hours prior to this statement, Google's stock erased -$480 billion on the same issue: AI is disrupting the traditional search model. For decades, the internet operated on a simple model. Search engines directed users to websites, and those websites monetized the traffic. AI is destroying this business model, and it's happening at an accelerating pace. The traditional model of internet traffic is rapidly becoming outdated. The internet has entered a new era.

Me parece bien.

Let’s all show Sam Altman how much we appreciate the rising prices of computers and video gaming consoles thanks to his quest to have all the DRAM. Unfollow their accounts. Uninstall ChatGPT, it’s a back door anyway. You’ll thank me later. It’d be a shame if people quit using his worthless chatbot.

Look at this graph. It’s a disaster. A new working paper tracked 26,811 students in China. Homework scores rose by 18%. Meanwhile, closed-book exam scores fell by 20%. This divergence between home performance and class performance seems driven by AI usage: Among students who never used AI, higher homework scores are associated with higher exam scores. Among AI users, the relationship switches completely: exceptionally high homework scores are associated with substantially worse exam performance. * Paper in the first reply
