Professional update! I’m excited to be joining @Sheng_Peng at @sjhockeynow as the sites first PWHL San Jose beat writer. Check out my first piece, an update from Troy Ryan on Corinne Schroeder’s injury⬇️⬇️
Welcome @Eli_Fastiff!
Eli is SJHN's first @PWHL_SanJose beat writer.
Here's his first story, Troy Ryan's first public comments about starting goalie Corinne Schroeder's potentially serious injury.
What are his options if Schroeder isn't ready for camp? sanjosehockeynow.com/pwhl-sa…
Unsurprisingly, Kristin O’Neill is on Canada’s top penalty killing unit. The PWHL San Jose forward scored a shorthanded goal in the gold medal game at the Olympics last winter.

No Rory Guilday for team USA, but Laila Edwards and Sloane Matthews are suiting up tonight in Windsor.
International road trip! I’ll have live coverage of tonight’s pre-worlds exhibition game between the US and Canada which could feature up to four PWHL San Jose players. Stay tuned for updates

Short term: San Jose is going to need to bring in 1-2 new goalies to training camp.
Long term: If San Jose is going to hang around the playoff picture, Tia Chan is going to need to be solid right out of the gate.
Hearing from multiple league sources that Corinne Schroeder could be out long term with an achilles injury.
Still in the very early stages, but it seems certain San Jose will be without their starter when camps open, and the risk of this being season ending is real.

This is the first Canadian Women's World Championship roster with only one Cornellian since 2011. This year it's just Kristin O'Neill. In 2011 it was only Rebecca Johnston.

This has to be one of the better nights for Bay Area sports of all time. We’ve got the Valks in the finals, the Niners on national tv, and the Sharks
Macklin Celebrini, Gabby Williams and Fred Warner all on TV at the same time. #blessed
Kristin O'Neill is set to appear in her sixth world championship tournament for Canada.
