The unintended consequences of the UK’s regulatory intent on #Bitcoin continues to baffle me. While ostensibly trying to protect consumers from a high-risk investment, it has instead herded the general public into buying BTC w/o the benefit of advice. 🧵

This is a problem for several reasons:
- XO trades provides zero suitability filter
- lack if due diligence on custody
- lack of portfolio context (unseen risk concentration or tax inefficiencies)
- general advice vacuum 🧵
