Hark! I am aboard JetBlue flight B6 1289 that was meant to fly from EWR to San Juan.
Spoiler alert: We are still in New Jersey, which, according to a sign that I saw at the airport, has the most diners of any state.
We were meant to take off 7:10p this evening. Then we were delayed. Then delayed again. But at long last, we boarded!
Safety demonstrations were given! Lights were dimmed! It seemed like we would be airborne in a matter of minutes!

Hercule Poirot had it exactly right: stay warm, ride trains, keep a mug of hot cocoa on the night stand and pick the sort of career where people regularly invite you to visit their lavish country estates
