A six-point improvement in stunting is real progress, but it is not the whole picture Wasting, which captures more recent undernutrition, has held roughly steady at 19.0% over the past decade, down only marginally from 19.3%. Severe wasting has fallen further, from 7.7% to 5.2%, yet both figures sit well above the WHO's target of under 5%. It is the clearest unresolved gap left in the survey.
