Rather a surprise as in other Tier 3 areas museums haven’t had to close, however following guidance from Nottingham City Council @JusticeMuseum and @cityofcaves will close at the end of today for at least 28 days
“It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later” Following the introduction of Tier 3 restrictions in Nottingham, both the National Justice Museum and City of Caves will close to the public from 30.10.2020. You can read our full statement here: nationaljusticemuseum.org.uk…

Thankful @derbymuseums has received Cultural Recovery funding from the @DCMS @ace_national. Re-opened July. Covid restrictions increased running costs and decimated commercial income. Investment means we can continue to welcome people for cultural solace. We're #hereforculture

The Women’s Social and Political Union, whose work led to the Suffrage and Suffragette movements, was formed #onthisday in 1903. Emma Sproson, a key local figure in the suffrage movement, became synonymous with the fight for women’s rights. (image: Townswomen Guild Collection)

#CollectionsFromTheCollection reflects the current change in the season. This print by Garry Fabian Miller uses 72 leaves from a Beech tree growing in the Usher Gallery grounds & 72 leaves from trees across Lincolnshire. It captures the autumnal transformation of the leaves.

We’re incredibly grateful to have received £1.175m of emergency support from @ace_national, providing a lifeline at a critical time for BCLM. The funding will support our plans to reopen in Aug & help to meet some of the costs incurred by closure. 👉bit.ly/2Cd5Meq
