Hello, world. After a little time away, I am stoked to announce that I am back…
and teaming up with the amazing @cclayporter to build @metalntwx: the global settlement network for the future of regulated, tokenized, agentic finance.
Six months ago to the day, I was introduced to @awxjack. What started as a discussion about stablecoins has since expanded to a much bigger vision: global infrastructure for tokenized financial products.
Now, I am excited to share that @airwallex and Capital49 have co-led our seed round, and as part of its investment, Airwallex has joined Metal as our first design partner.
Airwallex will bring the most extensive network of local payment rails — covering 200 countries and 90 currencies — to tokenized financial products: stablecoins, tokenized bank deposits, money markets, securities, and much more.

Has anyone done the numbers on how much more severe Sydney’s COVID outbreak would have been if the NSW government had followed Dominic Perrottet’s preference not to lock down when it did? skynews.com.au/australia-new… #auspol

Shows you that we can do it. Best wishes for those in Sydney and wider NSW. It’s a longer road ahead when starting lockdown from a higher prevalence of infection. – at Adelaide, South Australia

Freedom to infect others?
Freedom to cause fellow Australians to die?
Freedom to put at risk and overload frontline and medical professionals?
Freedom to affect/infect other States to ensure millions more Australians must lockdown?
Disgusting.

We can’t vaccinate our way out of the pandemic.
We need both: Vaccines AND Public Health (PH) measures.
It was barely possible w/ original variant (A). W/ Delta, both PH measures and vaccines became less effective (B). But combined – they may still work.

This thread has evidence for why we need to protect ourselves ad others from #COVID19. It’s not the flu, being far worse than the flu, and it has long term consequences that increase the chance of death even afterwards. – at Adelaide, South Australia

The FoxNews-isation of Australia on full display at Murdoch’s SkyNews. We all know Christian Porter was the biggest story yesterday, but there wasn’t a single video on Sky’s YouTube or Facebook. Just more right-wing grievance and LNP propaganda. #MurdochRoyalCommission
