At @defcon I interviewed people building all kinds of anti-surveillance tools.
Flock detectors. Rogue cell tower catchers. Bluetooth trackers.
No one’s coming to save us. We must build the resistance ourselves.
It is truly astounding how intellectually dishonest the hacks are.
It's not empathy that is suicidal; it is mis-calibrated empathy that is. Cancer cells and healthy cells divide. The problem is not cell division; it's unchecked cell division.

YEY taxpayers! The government has just committed another £330 MILLION from the foreign aid budget at the UN General Assembly for climate and nature programmes abroad.
Plus another £1 MILLION for the UN Climate Security Mechanism (UN slush fund)
We obviously dont need the money here 🤡

In the UK, Ofcom is going after Pornhub because age checks are not enough, but they want ID data collection.
Pornhub already has age checks in place, but what Ofcom really wants is that you are not allowed to use a VPN to access porn sites, and porn sites must collect your government-issued IDs.

🚨Man in a niqab arrested at the Portsmouth protest after the new face-covering powers came in. He told police he was “converting” / identifying as a Muslim woman.
The Crime and Policing Act exempts coverings worn for religious observance.
That’s the bit that will matter if this reaches court.
A judge would have to decide whether a last-minute conversion and protest-day outfit counts as genuine religious practice, or whether the purpose was simply to conceal identity.
The same test would apply if the roles were reversed.
That’s the part worth watching.
The wording of the exemption is going to get tested sooner than most people expected.

If you're out minding your own business around Portsmouth in your new Burka today please remember, if the police approach you, tell them you identify as an out and proud Muslim woman and that their presence has caused you alarm and distress, which has led to you feeling incredibly unsafe.
They wrote the rules. Play them.

I’m never going to apologise for calling out the demographic replacement of my own people in my country.
British people have a right to exist and a right to a homeland.
I’m not sorry for loving Britain and wanting it to continue to exist.

Here's a powerful, privacy-first, PDF tool you can self-host.
It allows you to manipulate, edit, merge, and process PDF files.
The best thing is that it needs no server-side processing. Everything happens in the browser, ensuring your files remain secure and private.

🚨BREAKING: The Government announces all UK phones will require ID and surveillance software
This means that Britons will be left with CHILD-LOCKED devices unless they comply with digital ID checks
Protecting children is a noble goal, but the government mandating that all phones come with surveillance software is a crossing of the Rubicon that would make the UK one of the most authoritarian internet regimes in the world

The Internet Archive is offline following a power failure, taking down access to the main site and its Wayback Machine.
It's hard to overstate this site's importance. It has preserved over 1 trillion web pages, creating a permanent history for an web that constantly deletes its own past. Websites vanish, companies wipe pages, governments edit documents, politicians delete statements, news outlets alter stories, and social posts disappear.
The Wayback Machine lets journalists, researchers, lawyers, OSINT analysts, and the public retrieve earlier versions to verify what was published at any given time.
Without independent archives, whoever controls a website controls its history. The Internet Archive prevents that, making it one of the most vital public resources online. Hope it's back up soon.

It's my personal red line. If the government tries to surveil my devices in an effort to enforce this ban then I won't stay in the UK
And any time I visit I'll treat it like China... Burner phone not linked to any of my regular accounts
It's bad enough having the highest tax burden since the 1940s and terrible public services (eg my recent near death experience at the hands of the NHS and the @WelshAmbulance) but enough is enough
