I find it kind of disappointing that most people just internalized MMT as the โinflation is fakeโ people, because it was never really that. The policy MMTers pushed in, say, 2012 was entirely appropriate to that fiscal environment; it wasnโt claimed that you can just add net money to the system forever with no consequences, or that supply shocks have no impact.
