republic city is a westernized city and that’s okay to admit. atla has always westernized the east but republic city’s influences being in modern asian cities is a fundamentally flawed argument when modern asia wouldn’t ontologically exist without western imperialism

This is why the newest legislation in India is so upsetting. Just yesterday there was news of two of our trans sisters/Elders being arrested after helping a transgender teen who had fled her home. These types of laws are meant to isolate LGBTQIA2S+ youth from queer community.

Saw that too lol tried to post it here but it was too long. They were spot on actually. Katara does chores and shes called a mother despite being a child but sokka holding down his village, training younger village boys and ready to die for his people doeent make him a father...

people aren't doing this because it's what they perceive her to be. it's literally what the show told us. furthermore, Sokka is not presented as a father within the show despite the ways in which he acts fatherly. That's just like a sex, something from the writers, one of many.

There shouldn’t be a global food system. Food systems should be regional. That’s the only proven way for them to be sustainable. The same problems would exist even if a global food system relied on a different fuel. Folks need to accept that the entire system is exploitative.
