Animation I think one of the most underrated art forms is animation. (I'm not talking about glitchy images, simulations, pre-animated or 3-frame gifs...) I'm talking about the art of movement, the way in which the perfect sequence of several images can tell a story, and which, and (for me) when created as a loop brings even more depth to the subject, and allows the work to be rediscovered with each viewing. There are still very few real animators in this market : why? Because animation is an art that requires an enormous amount of time, knowledge and patience. Each image has its own importance, and the viewer only sees the overall result of the sequence. A single image in the sequence that isn't right won't make the whole animation work. Some animators work frame by frame: to create a single second, you therefore need to create (usually) 24 illustrations that link up perfectly. For 3d animation, the rendering time for one frame must be multiplied by the number of frames per second. There are also many animators who add sound to their work, another skill to add to the list. It has long been possible to sell static works in painting or printing. I see in digital art and nft the chance to make formerly static paintings even more lively, because they're animated. There are some already-recognized animators in the NFTs market, and they richly deserve it. But I'd so much like to see even more, so the next time you see an animation, in your timeline, even when it's not a recognized artist...think about it all please 🙏
