I get so disheartened when I see people telling other people what they should believe.
I think that’s why I’ve always loved stories and books. No one is telling you what to think. You read a story and learn to think for yourself. Maybe you learn some empathy along the way.

I didn’t become a reader because I wanted to be smarter. I became a reader because books gave me somewhere to go when there was nowhere else to go.

Reading a book and coming across a character's name that you don't know how to pronounce, so for the rest of the book, every time you see it, your brain just goes ‘skdjfkskakfk.’
Finished Queen of Shadows. EOS and TOD have been tabbed for the tandem read. I’m so late to the game, but loving finding new adventures in the reading game. A tandem read?! Love this for us.
When characters from five books ago finally start making sense/mattering in the series…I see what you did there.
Physically reading: Queen of Shadows
Listening to: The Correspondent.
Two completely different genres, totally different writing styles, yet I’m eager to get back to both of them. Books—the great connectors.
It’s always a small triumph when you’ve read one or several of the books mentioned in your current read.
Top 5 authors you’d want a letter back from. I’ll go first:
1. Austen
2. C.S. Lewis
3. Tolkien
4. Dickens
5. Bradbury
The overwhelming urge to start writing letters to everyone I know after listening to The Correspondent for ten minutes.

Sometimes you know you are going to be an author and writer. And sometimes you grow into it after a bit. -Wrtr #amwriting #amediting
I’m beginning to enjoy reading and writing short stories a lot more than I used to. They just seem infinitely more manageable than a novel sometimes. #WritingCommunity #amwriting
Idk if I’ve ever been more excited for a Friday in my life. #HocusPocus2
Tonight is my first in-person workshop where a piece of my writing will be critiqued..already nostalgic for the days of workshops over Zoom, when I could slip some Bailey’s in my coffee to calm the nerves. #WritingCommunity #amwriting
