A few weeks ago a friend who makes poultry egg incubators asked me if I could develop a system that automatically switches to gas heating when electricity goes for his for his machines. He uses a gas backup system to keep the machines running when there's loadshedding

I was involved (proposed and created) in a smallanyana project at work. It went live last evening for all our South African colleagues. It was also shared with our sister companies as a format. Just in time for my mid year performance review 🥺🤭 I deserve a slice of cake.

My Campfire setup with 2,189 users and 2,000+ messages per week has been running on its own for 5 months on a $64/mo VPS.

Your peers that are building businesses in different industries or work in different professions can be a great source of learning and inspiration. Don’t wait for the older and more “successful” people to be your mentors

DigitalOcean is how the cloud should have been.
You choose a $64/mo server, and at the end of the month you get charged $64.
No NAT_GATEWAY_EGRESS_INTER_REGION nonsense fees.
