Every Friday a man came to the post office in Kagoshima, bought one postcard, and wrote on it with the pen on the chain. He used the standing desk by the big window, and he took a long time over a very short message.
I assumed it was a hobby, or a sad habit. The postcard always went to the same address in Tokyo. I know because he asked me for a stamp and left the card face up.
One Friday he was short of coins and I covered the stamp for him. I saw the message, three words and a number. “Rain. Cold. 14.”
“Is that a code?” I said, then wished I hadn’t.
“It’s the weather.” He looked a little embarrassed. “My son is in a dormitory. He sends me nothing, but he reads whatever comes in the post.”
“Why the weather?”
“It’s what I know for certain.”
The following Friday I wrote the morning temperature on the board behind the counter in small chalk, to save him the trouble of looking it up. He copied the number onto his card. Then, for the first time, he added a fourth word. I couldn’t read it from the counter.

What “I would never date a single mother” means to him vs her
His version:
• I don't want another man's responsibilities.
• I want to start my own family.
• I don't want complicated situations.
• Everyone has preferences.

I had been sleeping with my husband’s married best friend for five months when his wife called me and said, “I know what you and my husband have been doing. But I’m not calling to threaten you. I need you to do something for me.”
My husband, Mark, and his best friend, Daniel, had known each other since university. Daniel visited our house almost every weekend, and I trusted him like family.
Five months ago, Mark travelled for work, and Daniel came over to help me fix a leaking pipe in the kitchen.
One thing led to another, and we slept together.
We both knew it was wrong, but instead of ending it, we continued meeting whenever Mark was away.
Daniel always promised me he would never let our affair destroy our friendship with Mark. I believed him because he seemed just as afraid of being caught as I was.
Then, last Tuesday, his wife called me.
She said she had found our messages on his phone.
I immediately started apologising, expecting her to insult me or threaten to expose us to our husbands.
Instead, she said, “I don’t care about your apology right now. I need you to tell me whether Daniel has been coming to your house while your husband is away.”
I admitted everything.
There was a long silence.
Then she asked me to check whether Daniel had left anything in my bedroom.
I remembered that he had left a small black bag in our wardrobe two weeks earlier. He told me it contained some work documents and asked me to keep it safe.
I had never opened it.
I went into the bedroom, found the bag, and unzipped it while his wife stayed on the phone.
Inside were printed photographs of my husband leaving his office, copies of his business documents, and a notebook filled with dates and financial figures.
I had no idea what any of it meant.
Then Daniel’s wife said something that made my stomach turn.
“Your husband isn’t the only person Daniel has been lying to. My husband told me he was helping Mark with a business investment. I think he’s been using both our marriages to get close to your husband’s money.”
Before I could respond, I heard my front door open.
Mark was home early.
I quickly hid the bag, but he walked into the bedroom, noticed my face, and asked what was wrong.
I couldn’t lie anymore.
I told him about the affair, the phone call, and the bag.
He listened without interrupting.
Then he opened the bag, looked through the documents, and quietly said:
“I knew Daniel was sleeping with you. What I didn’t know was that he had started stealing from me, too.”
Mark looked at me and asked one final question:
“When he came here to see you, did he ever ask you to sign anything for him?” 😭💔

My wife’s younger sister accused me of being the father of her child, and when I demanded a DNA test, my wife did something that turned our entire family upside down.
It all started when my sister-in-law showed up at our house with her six-month-old baby.
While we were having dinner, she suddenly looked at me and said:
“Don’t you think he looks like his father?”
I laughed awkwardly and asked her what she meant.
She looked me straight in the eyes and said, “I’m talking about you.”
I nearly choked.
My wife dropped her fork and demanded an explanation.
Her sister started crying and confessed that we had slept together several months before the baby was born.
I immediately denied being the father and demanded a DNA test.
My wife didn’t say a word. She simply stood up, walked into our bedroom, and returned with an envelope.
She placed it on the table and said:
“Since we’re talking about DNA tests, I think it’s time we discuss ours.”
I stared at her, confused.
She explained that she had secretly done a DNA test on our four-year-old son because she had noticed something strange about his blood group.
The results were inside the envelope.
My hands started shaking as I opened it.
My wife was crying. Her sister had gone completely silent.
I looked at the results, then at my wife, and asked:
“What does this mean?”
She wiped her tears and replied:
“It means you are not his biological father.”
I felt my entire world collapse.
But before I could say anything, my sister-in-law suddenly stood up and shouted:
“That’s impossible! You told me you had never been with another man!”
My wife slowly turned toward her.
Then she said something that made the whole room go silent:
“I’m not talking about another man. I’m talking about your husband.”
My sister-in-law stared at her in horror.
My wife picked up the baby, looked at both of us, and said:
“Tomorrow, we’re doing DNA tests on both children. Because if my suspicions are right, this family has been living a lie for years.”
Who do you think knows the real truth—the husband, the wife, or the sister-in-law? 👀

My mother caught my father having sex with another woman, but instead of throwing him out, she called me into the room and asked me one question i will never forget.
“if your father dies today, which of you will inherit his properties?”
i thought she was joking.
my father was standing there, begging her to calm down, while the strange woman kept covering her face.
then my mother pointed at the woman and said, “ask your father who this woman is.”
my father refused to answer.
so the woman finally spoke.
“i’m not the woman you should be angry with. your husband has been paying my rent for three years, and he told me you knew everything.”
my mother started laughing.
not because it was funny, but because she suddenly understood something.
she walked into her bedroom, brought out a brown envelope, and dropped it in front of my father.
“sign it,” she said.
he looked at the papers and immediately fell to his knees.
i asked my mother what was inside.
she looked at me and said:
“your father thinks this house belongs to him. tomorrow, you’ll understand why he has been begging me to stay married to him.”
THAT NIGHT, MY FATHER SLEPT OUTSIDE OUR HOUSE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 25 YEARS. 😭
what do you think was inside that envelope?

Employee: I did. The only email I received was the one saying I had to work on-site.
Manager: You should have asked.
Employee: I assumed the company-wide policy applied to me too.
Manager: Fine. Just work from here today.
Employee: Sure.
At 10:15 a.m., the manager calls again.
Manager: Why haven’t you joined the client meeting?

I attended my cousin’s wedding, and the groom’s mother stood up during the reception and announced that she had spent $80,000 on her son’s wedding, so nobody should ever accuse her of not supporting the marriage.
Everyone clapped until the bride’s grandmother picked up the microphone.
She smiled and said, “That’s wonderful, dear. Now tell them who paid the $25,000 deposit on the house you promised the couple.”
The room went silent.
The groom looked at his mother.
“What deposit?”
His mother tried to laugh it off, but Grandma pulled an envelope from her handbag.
“I have the receipts, the bank transfers, and the messages where you asked the bride’s family for money.”
Then she turned toward the bride and asked, “Sweetheart, did he ever tell you what happened to the money your father gave him?”

A doctor discovered that his own brother was secretly harming a millionaire, and his next decision threatened to destroy his family.
Doctor: “Your symptoms keep appearing after breakfast. Who prepares your food?”
Patient: “My younger brother. He’s the only family I trust.”
Doctor: “I need to run additional tests before you leave.”
Nurse: “The laboratory results are here.”
The doctor examined the report and immediately requested further investigation.
Patient: “What’s wrong with me?”
Doctor: “We’ve found evidence of a potentially dangerous substance. We need to establish how it entered your body.”
Patient: “Are you accusing my brother?”
The doctor hesitated.
Doctor: “My brother works for you. He’s also the person who brought you here.”
The millionaire stared at him.
Patient: “Then tell me something. Are you protecting your family, or are you going to tell me the truth?”

This is heartbreaking to watch. I sincerely hope the authorities investigate this incident and hold the bus driver accountable for his actions.
No matter how angry or provoked a man feels, resorting to physical violence against a woman is unacceptable. Even if she hit him first, he should exercise self-control and handle the situation without escalating it into violence.
There is a difference between defending yourself and using excessive force against someone. Being angry is never an excuse to lose control and hurt another person.
This is truly disturbing, and I hope the woman gets the help and justice she deserves. The relevant authorities need to take this matter seriously and ensure that appropriate action is taken.
Violence should never be the answer. No disagreement should end with someone being physically assaulted.

I married my late elder brother’s wife, but one year later, she still refuses to share a bed with me. My family says I must be patient, but nobody understands what I'm going through. 💔
When my elder brother died, he left behind a wife and two young children. I took responsibility for their school fees, feeding, and other needs because I couldn't bear to see them suffer.
After some time, my uncles and elders called a family meeting. They suggested that I marry my brother's widow so the children could remain within the family.
My mother supported the idea. She kept telling me, “Those children are your blood. If you marry their mother, nobody will treat them like strangers.”
I hesitated because I knew my brother's wife had loved him deeply. But the elders assured me that with time, we would adjust and build a happy home.
Eventually, we got married. Both families were happy, and everyone prayed for our marriage.
But nobody knew what was waiting for me behind closed doors. ⤵️
💔 It hurts when someone you genuinely care about becomes the very person who breaks your heart. 😔
You give them your time, love, and support, stand by them when life gets tough, and hope they’ll do the same for you. But sometimes, the people you never expected to hurt you end up leaving you with the deepest pain. 🥺💔
Have you ever been hurt by someone you truly loved and trusted? How did you find the strength to move on?

Happy Sunday. ❤️
A woman left the man who supported her through six years of university because she said she no longer loved him.
When they met, he was working two jobs to pay his bills. She came from a struggling family, and he helped her pay tuition, buy textbooks, and cover rent whenever her money ran out.
He never complained.
He believed they were building a future together.
After graduation,….🧵
