New review on Photon Avalanching Nanoparticles out in Accounts of Chemical Research! pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acs…
Part of a special issue on #UCNPs (upconverting nanoparticles).
Honored to be invited to write this perspective on automated nanoparticle synthesis as part of a collection commemorating the 25th anniversary of @NanoLetters! doi.org/10.1021/acs.nanolett…
See 🧵 for my lessons from the past 25 years, include 1 from Finding Nemo📷 (cited ofc)
What will happen to automated and ML-guided nanocrystal science in the next 25 years? Precedent suggests that, like lasers and computers, AI and automation will find their role in unexpected and also mundane ways. But the greatest impacts will be found in focusing on the science!
Here's the link to the manuscript again if you missed it!

For a more digestible summary of our recent @NatComputSci article, here's the research brief that @SamMBlau and I wrote... complete with a #BehindThePaper tidbit that thankfully has less drama than a VH1 Behind the Music episode (rdcu.be link is free)
An accompanying Research Briefing is now available for this paper! nature.com/articles/s43588-0…
