A new paper finds ideological bias in the production of research findings: Research teams composed of pro-immigration researchers estimated more positive impacts of immigration on public support for social programs, while anti-immigration teams estimated more negative impacts. Double blind reviewers judged both left and right-leaning ideological teams as having lower quality research designs science.org/doi/10.1126/scia…?

Our new study on social reward learning in AUD. Great work by @simonjangard
Excited to share our new paper on social reward learning in alcohol use disorder (AUD) in Translational Psychiatry! doi.org/10.1038/s41398-025-0… w/ @B_Lindstroem, Lotfi Khemiri, Nitya Jayaram-Lindström, & @EmotionLabKI. Across two separate samples, we examined whether individuals with AUD show deficits in prosocial learning—learning to maximize rewards for others. Surprisingly, reward learning was intact in AUD and unrelated to reduced prosocial behavior. Using computational modeling, we found comparable learning mechanisms in AUD and healthy controls, suggesting that social deficits in AUD are not driven by impaired reward learning. These findings highlight the need to explore alternative mechanisms behind social dysfunction in AUD.

Enjoy! Our new paper on social learning of mice.
A new study finds that when living in groups, mice form social networks that facilitate social learning and allow the whole group to respond to changes in their environment. scim.ag/3PCJANv @e_knapska @AlicjaPuscian @NenckiInstitute
