Product lead at @EmpulserTech explains how the Fortitude Engine converts optical Contactless Power Transfer (CPT) into sustained thrust → $CPT About the engineering model shown on MCG: • The system has been fully tested at the component and integrated level • The current engineering model isn’t built for 1,000W+ laser input yet, but the architecture works • Power transfer is optical CPT — it can use lasers for extreme range or high-power LED-based optical sources • The cells are validated Most systems fail under sustained high heat. This engine is designed to operate at extreme temperatures without component failure. How thrust works: Incoming optical energy → conversion (electrical 20% + thermal 80%) → superheated, compressed air → expansion through the engine → thrust. -No chemical reaction. -No combustion. -Pure thermal propulsion. A small battery is used for startup, then the system transitions to continuous incoming optical power to keep a glider drone airborne. This is why CPT matters - and why teams at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, NTT, and DARPA are all pursuing contactless power. @ProductEMP and @patpltsang are betting big that the future is wirless power transfer. iOT, emergency response, Police and surveillance, drones and now CPT Engines.
