Day 1 @EinsteinMed: Excited to embark on a new chapter as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Population Health at Albert Einstein College of Medicine!
Look forward to working independently and collaborating with brilliant minds at/beyond Einstein!
Zimo Huang is a talented PhD candidate and the first graduate student that I have been working with at Einstein.
He was selected as 1 of 6 graduate students (the only student to present population science research) for Student Lightning Round at MECCC Annual Scientific Retreat.
As a cancer researcher, one of my most thankful experiences is to work with a cancer survivor/advocate like Debbie Denardi @debsetu .
Read her story (cancertodaymag.org/fall-2026…) to learn more about her inspiring cancer journey in diagnosis, treatment, advocacy, and research.
NIH impact score/percentile will be replaced with 3 categories:
"Most competitive" (top 25%),
"Competitive" (26-50%),
"Not discussed" (scores >50%).

Many thanks to my institution Albert Einstein College of Medicine @EinsteinMed for featuring my recent NCI K01 Award!

Congratulations to Alliance researchers presenting at #AACR2026. Highlights include advancing early phase trial design, uncovering AML mutations tied to survival, and showing that healthy lifestyle can improve colon cancer outcomes during chemo. bit.ly/AACR-Alliance26
#AACR26 Come to my poster (Section #35 Poster #11) on 4/21 (Tuesday) 9AM-12PM PST @AACR!
Using Alliance data (CALGB/SWOG 80702), I will present the findings how adhering to WCRF/AICR Recommendations may improve colon cancer survival and impact chemotherapy outcomes.
Congratulations to Alliance researchers presenting at #AACR2026. Highlights include advancing early phase trial design, uncovering novel AML mutations tied to survival, and showing that healthy lifestyle adherence improves colon cancer outcomes during chemo. Proud of their work!
My NIH/NCI K01 Award arrived🎉!
Special thanks to my great mentors (Drs. Thomas Rohan, Carmen Isasi, and Kirsten Beyer) and excellent collaborators (Drs. Robert Kaplan, Xiaonan Xue, Yasmin Mossavar-Rahmani, Daniela Sotres-Alvarez, and Humberto Parada Jr) for making this happen!

AI is typically trained on English materials, and their performance in Spanish cancer questions is unknown. We assessed 3 popular AI chatbots (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) and found they generated good-quality responses, regardless of free vs paywall versions. dx.doi.org/10.1002/cam4.7136…
Special thanks to my colleagues - Dr. @jesusanampa and Dr. @BernabeCarolina (native Spanish-speaking oncologists) - who have done a terrific job in evaluating Spanish responses generated from AI chatbots!

Sex (as a biological variable) may affect chemo completion, toxicities, and cancer survival differently. Our findings @JNCI_Now suggested females with colon cancer have worse chemo completion and more toxicites than males, but females have better survival. academic.oup.com/jnci/advanc…
I'm deeply honored and humbled to be recognized for this award by Alliance!
Kudos to .@EnCheng23, of the @EinsteinMed for one of the Most Significant @ALLIANCE_org Manuscripts 2024-2025! "Plant-based Diet and Survival Among - Patients with Metastatic Colorectal Cancer" in @JNCI_Now #AllianceFall25 #NCI #NCTN #CALGB-80405 #SWOG-80405

Thank you @ASCO for the opportunity to present our work. Incredibly grateful to @KimmieNgMD and Chen Yuan for their mentorship @DanaFarber
.@sarakcharMD presents intriguing findings on how diet impacts survival in stage III colon cancer patients. The study examines the link between dietary inflammation and outcomes, offering insights into nutrition's role in cancer care. #ASCO25
