I wasn’t able to protect his Emperor, but treasured being in a scene with him in both Oblivion & Star Trek Legacy. Loved everything he did & was moved by his beautiful love of dogs. That it was Alzheimer’s & Dementia that took him makes me hate those diseases even more. Rest easy, Sir Patrick. THANK YOU. 💜

All of us at Marvel Studios are deeply saddened by the passing of Sir Patrick Stewart. Sir Patrick brought Professor Charles Xavier to life with extraordinary grace, intelligence, and humanity, defining the character for generations of fans, from "X-Men" to "Logan" to "Avengers: Doomsday." He was a singular talent, a generous collaborator, and a true gentleman. Our hearts go out to his wife Sunny, his children, his friends, and the countless fans around the world whose lives he touched with his art.

We lost one of the greats of stage and screen today. And, in my book, a tremendous friend and man. I learned so much from him. I will miss you, Patrick Stewart, all of my days. @mang0ld

Rest in peace to Sir Patrick Stewart — an emperor, a captain, and an inspiration to us all.
Our thoughts are with his loved ones.

Patrick Stewart was a giant of stage and will obviously be remembered as Jean-Luc Picard and Charles Xavier, but he had a great guest spot in a Season 11 episode of Frasier in 2003.
Rest in peace to a legend.

"No trophies of my triumphs precede me. But I have lived well, and my ghost shall rest easy. Men are but flesh and blood. They know their doom, but not the hour. In this I am blessed to see the hour of my death... To face my apportioned fate, then fall."

I knew this day would come eventually..... But I had hoped, just a little while longer, we would be graced with his presence...
The world has gotten a bit darker today... But let us follow in Sir Patrick Stewart's example and make it brighter together in his name.
