Fae Tactics has a dense start (it has a lot of mechanics to tutorialize), but dang! Really great SRPG that gets rolling right after that.
Very much a Final Fantasy Tactics successor. Has a proper plot too, and even has splits where you can go off and choose what to do next!

I think its appeal is somewhat narrow (dense and challenging SRPG) but Fae Tactics was one of my favorite games of last year. Somewhat importantly, it is *not* a Final Fantasy Tactics clone nor a Fire Emblem clone, but a genuinely unique take on the genre. It's cool.

#20 Fae Tactics
One of the best SRPGs I've played in a while. A large collection of spells and summons + hidden party members to unlock. Does some really awesome things mechanically and the story got better and better! A must-play for fans of the genre!
