In case you missed the news, I've completed the English subtitles for the forgotten 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗵 dub of 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗕𝗜𝗚 𝗢, and it's all available to stream on the Internet Archive! archive.org/details/the-big-… This makes this dub accessible and subtitled for the very first time!

Seeing as how the last time I saw a video like this floating around half of the art references for the same shots were completely different nah
John Carter
@martianwyrdlord20h
Were these shots deliberate artistic references? Just how deep a game was George Lucas playing?

the reason moby-dick remains such a vital piece of human art is that it addresses what is probably two of humanity's greatest movies in a collective franchise, The Wrath of Khan and First Contact

the reason moby-dick remains such a vital piece of human art is that it addresses what is probably one of humanity's greatest collective atrocities, the genocide of the whales, with an ambivalence it cannot itself fully articulate. melville is distraught, but he can't explain why

Aside from the misspellings it's true to life (from my own collection bro Israeli firearms are the coolest and best)

I'll reiterate that when I first saw Superman at home I had to stop and check whether my media player was rendering HDR properly for how washed out and pale the movie looked--like HDR video without the proper shader or whatever the term is. It's identical. Ugly, UGLY film

The OG Tekkaman hits so hard, my guys. Blade is great, don't get me wrong, but the OG is a whole new ball game

It's the 70s in Japan so the story isn't unlike its brethren ft. anti-pollution, anti-racism, being your own man, etc (tho the anti-racism is pretty advanced for 70s Japan), but that coupled with the absolute RAGE Joji has as Tekkaman is really something
